I also love that you are a true 4c girl. So many people will put that in their description as a way of baiting viewers. We are definitely a marginalized group within a marginalized group and we need real representation of someone who has our hair type with RESULTS. Thank you ❤️

Can low porosity hair use sunflower oil instead of safflower oil? I'd appreciate any and all responses. Everyone and y'all's family always stay blessed and healthy ✝️🙏🛐🕊️
@tialynn1111
9 ай бұрын
Hi Kimmie💕 Yes, low porosity hair can use sunflower oil as an alternative to safflower oil. Sunflower oil is lightweight and has emollient properties, making it beneficial for low porosity hair, which typically requires lighter oils for better absorption and moisture retention without causing buildup. Sunflower oil is rich in vitamins like Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which can nourish the hair and scalp effectively. However, as with any hair care product or oil, it's always a good idea to do a patch test first or start with a small amount to see how your hair responds.

Oh no! 😫 Sorry your hair was getting rancid. I have an aerosol spray bottle and it just sprays a fine mist. All you need is a little water along w the oils /conditioner. @tialynn1111
Жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly! 💕 Low porosity hair is human hair that doesn't readily absorb water and treatments. Your hair may be low porosity if it takes a long time to wet and dry. If you use hair care products, they tend to stay on the surface of your hair rather than being absorbed. This makes hair care treatments less effective. Effective oils For low porosity Argan oil Jojoba oil Sweet almond oil Grapeseed oil Baobab oil Apricot oil Camellia oil Pomegranate oil Avocado oil Sesame oil Rosehip oil Safflower oil Bottom line Avocado oil is good for low porosity as well as oil, you just may need to customize and replace the castor oil for a lighter oil or add distilled water to the mix. Make sure to test products for sensitivity

@tialynn1111

No one’s asked me that, but yes it is my real hair. I want to debunk the notion or myth that black women cannot grow, or that it is hard to grow waistlength + hair. Especially for type 4 or 4C textures. Hoping these videos will show that. No my hair was not always long. It was shaved in the back and was about 1 inch all the way round when I was in early high school and it was relaxed. I didn’t do a big chop, but let it all grow out and gradually cut out the relaxed ends. Sure I can work on gathering pics and putting that together. Thanks for your input!

Hi thanks for watching Val💕 No I have not always had long hair, my hair has gone through many stages. Being cut and shaved to 2 inches at one point, relaxed and then transitioned to natural. I’ll make a video on this - prefer you use a stimulating scalp oil that contains rosemary, ylang ylang etc. & do regular consistent massage. Please do a patch test when trying any new products Also be mindful and avoid any tight hairstyles that cause tension to that area (if this applies to you)

@erin8120 try and stick with the natural products (castor oil, avocado oil, olive oil, rosemary , ylang ylang etc) You may soon see progression with this (yes and 0 chemicals and be very gentle and protect your edges while they grow out) Test for allergy before using
