I am a non believer and it is very funny to read messages like yours… We don’t believe therefore we don’t care and aren’t scared by what you think might punish us for not believing. If Jesus is such a great and loving Entity who decides who deserves eternal life in Paradise, he will know I am a good man who took care of his family. If his sentence is « well, I see you had a very good and honest life, much better than some of my followers BUT, since you didn’t believe in me, just too bad for you », then your Jesus isn’t what you think he is… Have you ever think why God needs soooo badly that you believe in Him ? What is that obligatory rule ? Why exclude 6 billion humans ?

Your answers are for the most-part very helpful and informative. Contrary to Milton's words, the damned will NOT rule in Hell but will be eternally alone in anguish. You will NOT party with your friends in Hell. The solution is to look to Jesus but these people will have nothing to do with Him. Over the years, I have come to find that, people generally love the Babe in the manger but they hate the Man on the cross.

My understanding is that Hades simply refers to the "realm of the dead". Both the righteous and unrighteous, after death, are in the realm of the dead. The unrighteous exist in "Tartarus" and the righteous are in "Paradise". Sheol is the Old Testament reference to the the Lake of Fire. The final judgement for the lost happens at the Great White Throne judgement. This judgement occurs after the Millennial Reign (1000 year reign) of Christ on earth.

Luke 2:10-11 KJV [10] And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. [11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. John 3:16 KJV [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1 John 5:7-8 KJV [7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. [8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. John 1:14 KJV [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Matthew 1:18 KJV [18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 16:16-17 KJV [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. John 14:15-18 KJV [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Mark 1:14-15 KJV [14] Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, [15] and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Matthew 26:26-28 KJV [26] And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. [27] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; [28] for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. John 19:28-37 KJV [28] After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. [29] Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. [30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. [31] The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. [32] Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. [33] But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: [34] but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. [35] And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. [36] For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. [37] And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. Matthew 27:57-66 KJV [57] When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathæa, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: [58] he went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. [59] And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, [60] and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. [61] And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. [62] Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, [63] saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. [64] Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. [65] Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. [66] So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch. Matthew 28:1-8 KJV [1] In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. [2] And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. [3] His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: [4] and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. [5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. [6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. [7] And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. [8] And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. Luke 16:19-31 KJV [19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: [20] and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, [21] and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. [25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. [26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. [27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: [28] for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. [29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. [30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Ephesians 1:3-14 KJV [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: [5] having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; [8] wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [9] having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: [10] that in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: [11] in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: [12] that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Matthew 6:15 KJV [15] but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 5:7 KJV [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Good news my friend, your ability to obey Jesus is not what saves you or damns you to hell. You have to have faith in Jesus bc salvation is by faith alone and not of works. Believe and you will be saved. After that, do your best not to sin bc Jesus sacrificed himself for you

@ReznaQay

Hades is the temporary torment of sins before the second death, the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. The lake of fire burns day and night, an eternal death. annihilationism is the wrong way to go about it where the soul is destroyed in the lake of fire. people will be there for eternity.

If what you saying is the Bible is "human fiction", I suggest you read "Imagine the God of Heaven". It's a very thorough examination of Near Death Experiences (thousands interviewed) and covers quite a few that had hell experiences, as well as scientific studies of NDE experiences from people who were originally skeptical and trying to discredit them, (hint, they very common, and are described as "more real than real"). Too much is in the book to bring up in a comment, but the heaven and hell descriptions match the Bible descriptions very closely.

God isn't a torturer as you choose to go against gods will and there is nothing wrong with punishing those who made that choice especially the people demanding direct proof of god.
