One of the most common questions we get is about employers who have a lot of workers who don't speak English -
What about benefits? Are we required to provide all the appropriate documents in Spanish (or another language)?
In today's video, we cover a recent update from CMS for how employers should approach providing the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) in counties where there is a large portion of non-English speakers.
And while the announcement doesn't suddenly require many employers to begin providing translation services, it does clarify what is, and perhaps more importantly - what is not needed in these situations.
