Swing analysis of Julio Rodriguez? Just watched highlights of Padres vs Mariners on 9/10/24, it looked like every AB he had you could see the over exertion of his top hand/Back elbow. He's not a small guy. 6'3" 220lbs. Just looks like he might be struggling because of the the exact things you try to warn people and players

3:43 have you ever looked at squash players swing? The forward tilt of the racket is very pronounced.

@@gheckolock81 I have not. Thank you. I’ll check it out.
My grandson is a right hand hitter...his mother played softball and could switch hit me I'm a righty but batted left handed...told my grandson to try hitting from the left side his swing hitting left is so much better and more of what you preach do you think it's better because he is leading with his dominant hand??

@@kevinnoll4745 his swing is much more likely to be mechanically better from the side that puts his dominant arm in front.

@theswingmechanic thank you I'm on board with dominant hand leading the way...he was hitting 80 mph of machine turned him around and after a brief talk he tried it and was hitting 80 mph and had never tried it before..I really believe in your theory

90% of modern hitting coaches will change a kid’s swing even though he is a .800 hitter through 4 games after he hits a few ground balls they will try to change him. Then you’ll look like a dick arguing with your coach if you don’t agree with their technique. Baseball is brutal. There is not another sport that exists where everyone around you is trying to change your mechanics constantly

@@redpillforreal3053 when i played in college I had a coach who was so hands off. Zero instruction. Just let us play. Literally. Practice was pretty much up to us. At the time I thought I was unlucky because of it. Looking back it was the ideal situation. These days there’s no way a D1 team would operate like that. The coaches today are way too officious.
