You know there is a story in the latest novel Predator: Eyes of a Demon, where it featured a pregnant Yautja giving birth to a pup. The writer described the birthing as to be the same as human birth. So it could answer our question of how females give birth.
@Gyarren
2 жыл бұрын
A couple things: It's been pretty well established that, while male Yautja are polygamous, whether or not females remain faithful to one partner is, to my knowledge, unknown, though speculations abound. It would, however, make sense that a female would limit herself to fewer partners, or space out her breeding, so as not to become overburdened with more offspring than she could manage. Machiko Naguchi does taunt "Shorty" by asking if he secretly wanted to father her children, but by his disgusted reaction, it doesn't seem that most Yautja would even be interested in such a thing in the first place. Dachande didn't even realize Machiko was female, until he examined a wound she'd received from a Xenomorph and saw that she had breasts! It's likely that the females of the Widow Clan are an exception, as it's unusual for female Yautja to hunt for trophies and honor, as their society is far more egalitarian than that of humanity as a whole, if not outright matriarchal. As such, females have little, if any, need to prove themselves the way males do. Also, Dachande noted that Tichinde was already a troublemaker before the incident on Ryushi, and wondered how the younger male had survived as long as he had, with his disrespectful and defiant attitude toward his superiors. Tichinde, if I recall, didn't even thoroughly check that Dachande was dead; just assumed he was and used it as a pretext to attack the colonists. The Young Bloods weren't even allowed to hunt humans until they'd killed a Xenomorph and become officially Blooded; but self-defense would probably have been another matter. And Yautja generally aren't supposed to attack in revenge for killing one of their own, so even if Tichinde had actually intended to avenge Dachande's "death", their honor code forbade such an action.

What guarantees that their brains are like ours? For such primitive humanoids with such advanced technology, they don't seem to have evolved much beyond the "cavemen" level, so they might not actually need that much. Also, the females have mammary glands, those are quite the nutrient supply right there lol.
@ragnarr7965
2 жыл бұрын
@@radrno7 Thats the thing. Just because a Species is primitive does not mean they have a smaller brain. Our ancestors 200.000 years ago had a brain of the same size and the same cognitive skills like you and me (talking about Homo sapiens, not Homo heidelbergensis or erectus). You could take a caveman to our time and teach him how to be a rocket scientists. And it would work just fine. Its hard to determine the Overall intelligence of the Yautja, but they are roughly the same level of intelligence like us humans. And the law of biology is the same everywhere. A Yautja brain might be different from a human brain, but it would still require most of the nutritions they consume, especially while growing. So its pretty safe to assume that a newborn Yautja is roughly the same as a newborn human. They would have a severely underdeveloped body, and limited cognitive capabilities. But as their body grows so would their brain grow and their cognitive capabilities increase drastically within the first years.

Their genetic structure could be different, just like xenomorphs, where they grow big and fast with little amount of nutrients. Their blood has been related to be very beneficial to other species, so it's not short to say that their genes are a lot superior than ours. Their eggs could have an entire different composition from that of any animal on Earth, maybe even rougher than ours to sustain the planet's physical and atmosphere effects, which would explain why they're so much stronger than us. And like you said, a bigger brain doesn't equal higher intelligence, so they might not need to feed it so much in earlier life stages and get only the bare minimum through mammary glands and feeding off other animals.

Their mandible plus vision are likecarachnids but bipedal with an endo skeleton. Also the early movies were in hot climates so cold blooded seemed plausible. I imagine their reproduction being a mix of lions, crocs and spiders. The females only allow to be penetrated by either long dreaded or by the ones with more trophies, where if a male tries to force himself, the female might actually kill him before he does, which is much worse than just having scars from a really wild time lol. Their genitals are basically concealed inside pouches, so they only come out when they're really in the mood, while the female mammary glands only grow when they're in the fertile period or when they're already pregnant, to feed their babies, who don't take that long to be born after she deposits the eggs in a hot and moist environment such as a hole in a cave. Once they hatch, the sucklings will go after their mother, which is a very important part in their life cycle, because this is where only a few survive since they have to be really strong to live in their society, and once they reach the mother, if the suckling has some sort of deformity, it will most likely be put down by the clan, if not by the mother herself, to avoid genetic defects from going further. The suckling will grow in a rough lifestyle, where the mother will feed them once in a while but she'll force them to get their own food by themselves, so they'll become strong as soon as possible as they grow in a span of a few years. The fathers do teach them to hunt, but in a very rough way, sometimes even throwing them in the middle of nowhere to survive on their own with no weapons. As rites of passage, they will be sent to the military division as younglings to start the heaviest training, sometimes even as punishment because the youngling has been too indisciplined, so it should teach them to get in line with others, where the final tests involved throwing them in an alien planet all by themselves with only a single wristblade, and this yet another phase where only a few make it as it's a massive challenge to turn them into the highest rank hunters of the universe. They live for millions of years, so one can only imagine what the oldest of them have seen and done to reach that level.

@@zzirfamo24 No, I'm mostly speculating in a way that it would make sense. From comics, I know that females do evaluate their partner by their dreads and their trophies. I also found a conceptual art of a Predator completely... exposed, and they have a reptilian pouch, where the male genital is kind of like a spiked tentacle that protudes into the female genital, very similar to feline genitals. Yeah, if you had doubts about that, there is your answer. You're welcome lol. It would make sense for yautja to be sent as younglings to other planets with little to no gear, where they only gain weapons at a certain rank, after hunting in more and more planets. They don't always take all gear though. When they feel confident enough, they take as little as possible as we've seen such as Jungle Hunter. The more weapons they have, the bigger they see their challenge. Their first hunt ever though, they should only take the wristblade, which for a yautja it should be more than enough if they truly want to become blooded.

Sir, I have a question. Is there a distinguishable difference between a Young Blood and an Unblooded Yautja? Or is it the same thing? For what I know, the unblooded is a different "rank", just inferior to the Young Blood. And it is the unbloodied Yautja who is described as blood thirsty and extremely aggressive and hostile, not a Young Blood. This comes to accordance with AVP movie: Scar was a Young Blood, yet, he spared Bishop when he shaw that he was critically ill...That seems like a demonstration of code of honour...
@radrno7

It's basically the difference between a beginner and someone who never even tried it. Unblooded are the most aggressive due to their lack of experience, much like children they will be very eager for their target, no strategy, just whatever they have, which usually is simple direct attacks. Youngbloods are the ones who get progressively less aggressive due to the more experienced they get, much like teens growing up as maturity comes along, they learn through their fights and struggles in each hunt, where the challenges teach them new ways to behave, getting smarter with age.

You missed one of the human/Yautja hybrids. I forget his name but his mother was hunted by a yuatja when she was pregnant and managed to wound him. His blood got into hers and her son was born a hybrid. He was mostly human but had the strengths of a predator and had short dreadlock like hair as well as the rough scale like skin as the Yautja.
@robonaught

I think your thinking of Hunter Borgia from the Concrete Jungle video game. His mother Isabella had already given birth to Hunter (Predators don't hunt pregnant women anyway) after the Predator (known as Scarface) had killed her husband Bruno. Isabella shot Scarface in the eye causing his blood to splatter over her and Hunter. This caused both Isabella and Hunter to live much longer then the expected human life span and Hunter was already born a weak sickly child who wouldn't have lasted long but Scarface's blood made him grow up strong. Hunter then became obsessed with Predators to the extent he started doing genetic experiments on himself using the DNA of captured Predators to fuse Predator DNA in him in order to become more like one. So Hunter wasn't born a hybrid he flat out turned himself into one.

Yeah...in my head canon, the yautja actually hunt for their female companions and kidnap them, overpowering their companion. The males that fails at that, get killed by the stronger female. It's all forced with submission. The females do that too but they don't want no candy ass weakling, they will go for the gold digging strat, someone with tons of trophies. Oh yeah. When a yautja shows up with a Maybach trophy, their fishnets get wet instantly and drop in an instant, salivating at the opportunity for alimony once the yautja will inevitably mate with someone else. And that's why they don't mate with any other male yautja: they get tons of trophies and a nice home after the divorce! And they never cared about the baby yautja, that's why they treat them like shit, which leads to a stronger yautja. In the end, it's all just a vicious gold digging cycle 😕

Those are from a different clan. They are the ones that believe in genetic augmentation, extracting the DNA from other species' spines and splicing their genome with their own to become bigger, faster and stronger. They even use these mutant experiments as hunting aid such as dogs, monkeys, gorillas, etc. They basically don't care about honor or trophies.

@@zzirfamo24 I always imagined they were granted tech from other civilizations. Maybe they were slave primitives bred to fight but turned on their masters who now design their weapons. I thought they might spawn kinda like fish or frogs. Imagine a tadpole but with the face of a predator. If they survive long enough to grow up and exit the spawning pool then they get pulled into predator society, I'm thinking sort of a communal rearing (I don't think Yaujta parents stick around) where they learn about their culture, history, the glory of the hunt. Around this age is where clans needing to recruit show up and the young must prove themselves for a chance to join.

A bit of side lore says the Yautja race are indeed 100 percect human. Their ancestry suffered a severe form of Atavism and inadvertently took on the traits of repltilian like features and components. Like Killer Croc from the Batman comic books. Because let's face it the Yautja biophysiology is remarkably similar to humans. Deltoid muscle, fingers and toes and then the females have breasts and a slender figure. That screams human descendancy but with a major twist in their biology.

I would love to see an all-predator movie but obviously they would have to come up with a way for them to talk to each other that's easy for the viewer to follow. I don't mind subtitles but I know a lot of people do and the intended viewer I doubt would want to watch a movie that's completely subtitled. I feel the same about Klingons in Star Trek, I think it would be great to see a tv show or movie that only involves Klingons, that takes place in their past, maybe the time of Kalice. Now if they had a Klingon/Predator crossover kind of like Jason vs Freddy but with a better script now that would be amazing; I think my head would explode,🤯😂 as characters they are so much alike. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who created the predator for the first movie modeled him after the Klingons, but I know theres little chance of a crossover happening, but again if it was done right it would be amazing.
