There are plenty of shade loving plants out there and you can find lists of them on Pinterest. My favorite go to plants for shade are hostas, astilbe, impatiens and all the ferns. I’m in love with ferns. These plants are a shade gardeners best friends.

Could you do a video series highlighting more plant families like peonies, salvias, echinacea, etc. Also, as much as I love you beautifully edited videos, its the ones with the mistakes, or bloopers, or 'ps at the ends' that make your videos relatable, lovable, and so down to earth :). People always say you might as well give up on having many flowers and it’s a struggle to even get foliage color unless you use annuals. @@noemierollindedebeaumont1130 I enjoy cooking, but I think I'm just not creative enough. I'm always stumped on how to use all my fresh herbs and the bit of produce that I grow. Just recently I harvested a large amount of ginger, because it was crowding the pot I grow it in. I think I'm just going to take some to my coworkers because I already gave some to family, and there's only so much ginger tea and asian stir fry I can eat. I make ginger candy only for the holidays, to add to ginger cookies and to gift. I don't really eat it myself, nor does my husband. And I have a bunch of herbs and I don't know how to use them in more ways than one. I make hot sauce with my chilies and that's about it. @Jack-oc2xq
4 жыл бұрын
TheYoghurt42 my understanding is that you don’t get enough cold for the plant to survive, or at least grow well, many plants need a period of cold where they go dormant and if your climate doesn’t allow this period of dormancy the plants may not grow properly, I’m sure there are better explanations somewhere but that’s my understanding of it

@@Jack-oc2xq not necessarily. A lot of plants that I've seen marked that way grow great in our tropical zone! And a lot of plants marked annual are actually perennials for us too. I admit I almost didn’t watch the baking video as I have zero interest in cooking of any sort but I DID watch it and thoroughly enjoyed it. You actually make these things seem doable for a person as inept as I am in the kitchen bc you explain every step so well. Plus your personality is just so dang endearing I’d probably watch you fold clothes! Lol!

I would love to see a video on plants that grow well under tall pine trees. I learn so much from your videos.

Laura.. Linda here You could use the tongs that we use to put in or take out of the canner. That should fit your needs. Now this may sound funny, but I would love to see a video from when you get up to when you end your day. I love your family & wish you could at least once share a full day. A one day reality show... sorta

Yes to cooking videos. I’ve loved all the ones you posted. I’d love shade potting plant ideas. Kinda like your window boxes. Plants that bloom but can take extreme evening direct hot Texas sun☀️💥🔥

Laura, I would love to have you do videos on shade , sun and part sunny tolerant plants. I also would love a video on just petunias and what varieties work best in certain places. I’ve watched you plant many kinds, but get confused as to where each thrives best. I also would love a video on hydrangeas. I’ve had to rip out certain kinds as they apparently were not getting enough/too much sun. I currently have panicles that bloom well for me in full sun. The ones that need part sun really stump me. I can’t get any of those to bloom. I also love your videos on new perennial and annual plants. Definitely keep that up! Thanks so much for your videos. At a time in my life that I thought I might give up/ cut back gardening, you have reenergize me to keep going.

I didn’t even notice the “mistakes” on the cooking video. Probably something only you can see as the creator. I enjoyed it and hope to follow the recipe someday soon! It would be cool to do one recipe per season? Since this channel focuses on gardening projects.

That would be just 4 videos 😳😳 Nooo we need more! She cooks the things she grows, so it definitely has everything to do with gardening projects 😊
