Anything Limited, numbered, special and rare has always peaked my interest. I personally feel that it’s worth it, if you think it is. Also, thanks again for keeping the PADI Tuna so well.

Actually there were only approximately 120 of the Zelos Timascus/Meto made not 150. The original plan was for the bezel to be Meto along with the dial but Elshan was not happy with the look/materials. He only produced about 10 of the meto/meto. Then made aprox 120 of the meto dial with a Timascus bezel. The case backs number up to 150 because that was the original plan for the meto/meto but in reality there is 10 of the numbers used for meto/meto and 120 of them for Timascus/meto. Hope my rambling message makes sense. Cool watch!

Also I really only own 4 watches and 2 are limited editions and get worn constantly. I think it adds to the cool factor because they’re hard to get if you miss the drop. Im newer to watches though so perhaps il regret wearing them down the road but for now wearing them brings me joy.

Watches are made to be worn, so I would not regret wearing them if you are not planning on selling them.

Ah yea, that does make sense. Unfortunately, folks will not remember, or know that a few years down the road when I look to sell the watch, or when the next owner wants to sell the watch.

Not so much. It is cool to have something others don’t but not sure the price differential is worth it.

That is a good point about the price difference. I should add some more criteria to my list of reason to or not to buy.

With the exception of maybe a half dozen…my entire collection of 4 dozen are limited editions so to speak. I only do micros😉….and depending on what you shop for, nearly all of the micros are limited releases….truly limited. I don’t shop for the big brand limited editions….I usually don’t consider a couple thousand a “limited run.” I’ve almost been fooled by seikos clever marketing a couple times. It’s all personal preference and interpretation.

That is a good point, and I did not fully think out what I could consider limited. Zelos for example, everything they do is a limited edition. However the Seiko PADI Tuna SBBN039 that I had, really was a limited edition of 700 pieces. With that said, I don't believe Zelos has ever made more then 300 pcs of the same watch / colorway. The Damasko DB5 is extremely limited at 80 pieces, but I kind of consider Damakso to be a microbrand.

@@WrongTimeWatch yeah for sure. I totally agree with what you consider a limited release. It’s just that the big brands tend to be misleading and do a limited run…then another one of basically the same thing over and over. I do like the limited release models though generally…especially the ones Oris puts out. I probably would t buy one but they sure look amazing.

@@WrongTimeWatch I do not get it, What is the resale value of a Zelos with a NH35?, 50% retail?, What is the price new?, $300? ... who cares wearing it?. I have to recognize I am lost.

@@WrongTimeWatch Why buying a watch and not using it?, I insist, I do not get the point. Losing $100 - $200 in such a watch or any seems reasonable, it doesn´t seem to be much, but who am I to judge, maybe you got it just for the review or whatever reason ... I do not know.

No, I had planned to wear it, but changed my mind. Realized I have too many watches and need to sell off. But, yee also I buy watches for video content. Buy, video, sell. Wash, rinse, repeat. At least that is how it is supposed to work, I think.
