@roadtodetailing Great little video. I've had almost identical results in a video I have filmed at the weekend. I used surfex neat in that film and it still brought similar. I used 4 different tyre cleaners and was surprised by what I found first off in a bare rubber test.

Thank you Mat! For me, a 10% dilution with Surfex works well on tire and wheels in general. I hadn’t try other tire cleaners just yet, but I have some others on the shopping list already 🤓 What 4 you had tested if you don’tmind me asking? I look forward to your video! This subject is interesting for me 😎

I’m looking forward to see your thoughts on these 4, sounds a very interesting content! Autoglanz rebound is on my shopping list since a while now, I don’t have a need for that but I have my curiosity to try it out.

Which one you would pick if it comes to cleaning your tires?

Surfex hd exactly the same way, learnt of Jon from Forensic, nothing but respect for him. Also the Surfex can go and attack the wheels at the same time. Autoglanz rebound is also good. Thank you for the video.

Hi Swift 211, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Jon from Forensic has such a great knowledge in car detailing and is a great source to learn from as well. I like the facts you have shared in your comment 🙏 Autoglanz Rebound is on my shopping list, and somewhere in the near future I’m going to try that, because sounds very promising. Thanks for the hint 😉

I'd probably stick with surfex hd, saves the hassle of having to buy another product

Surfex HD is great, the difference is very small. Although, the cleaning experience was more enjoyable (and deeper) with ADBL. Also, the dressing bonds on the surface better and lasts longer on the tire has been cleaned with ADBL compared to the one which cleaned with Surfex. I would say that, I would probably use Surfex HD as a frequently used product, but every 2nd or 3rd wash, where I need a deeper cleaning I would choose ADBL. Overall, if the budget allows, having a tire cleaner could be better, but at the same time, surfex does a decent job basically for pennies, which hard to beat :)

@@RoadToDetailing ADBL tyre cleaner is an excellent product! I buy 5 litres of surfux HD at a time as I use it for so many different jobs, it's handy to use it for tyres aswell. I'd agree using ADBL very couple of washes would be a good idea

@@Chris_8270 Yes, Surfex HD is one of the best all rounder on the market, and 5L of that will last a long time, while give you so much of a choice to use on.

“Dedicated” tire cleaners are just neat expensive degreasers. You cannot compare neat degreasers with 1:10 surfex hd degreaser.
@RoadToDetailing

Oops.. I just did compare them as the way they are. I don’t think it was an unfair comparison, yet in this video there is nothing scientific, just pure curiosity. Why diluted surfex? People tend to use Surfex HD diluted (1:10) on tires, myself included, and other people like to use “dedicated” tyre cleaners. The biggest difference in my personal opinion: surfex leaves white residue behind, while a dedicated cleaner does not. (At least, not in my tryings with specific “tyre cleaners”) Thanks for your feedback.
