Love the " Dutch door" in the kitchen. Those you don't see very often anymore.

The basement water damage is very serious! Mold. The cause of flooding needs to be identified.

Putting rock salt and other snow melt chemicals on concrete will eat it apart over time. That’s likely what gobbled up those front steps. The 1950s rumpus room basement finishing kit look is classic, reminds me of my grandparents’ house growing up, very cute.

I live in a house built in 1978 with an oil furnace. Age means nothing when it comes to oil furnaces. I am repeatedly told NOT to replace the furnace until it can no longer be fixed. Why? I'm told the quality of new furnaces is so poor it's worth it to wait. So far, so good. Of course, regular maintenance is a must. Don't judge anything by its age.

I had a 1988 furnace I just replaced with a pellet stove because the heat exchanger was cracked. Almost $10k for a new one!

OMG that living room carpet is disgusting. Can't believe anyone could live in there with that filth. I wouldn't be able to take my shoes off.

Awnings are pretty but they are bee and wasp magnets. They love to build nests underneath. Main reason why they were removed when we first moved into our home.

Single story but not what is considered a Ranch style in the State where Ranch style was Born. Hate Parquet flooring. The pass through is way too big needs to be downsized and add more counter and upper and lower cabinets maybe a step in Pantry and peninsula. Give more definition between kitchen and dining area.

The floors aren’t something you are showing or talking about. The filth line around the room on the walls along with the floors being in such a horrid condition show this house was a hoarders house. Probably filled with intense nastiness. I would be concerned about structural damage from the weight of the hoard and also lack of care. Maybe some roach and bedbug infestations. I can’t imagine the smell is anything less that horrific in there. Someone would have to put so much money into this they may as well tear it down and build new. But even then, the ground may be infested with roach colonies. Just not a good investment in my opinion.

Would you consider putting the MLS listing and/or ultimate sold price into the comments of your videos? Dreaming of finding a fixer upper and so curious to know what these end up selling for. Thanks!

We are looking into ways to outline that information. Most of the properties featured are not yet listed and we are not necessarily attempting to turn this into a marketing channel either, looking to strike a balance.

New subscriber. Have bought many houses in my lifetime; never a foreclosure, but this one looked better than many I bought! Mostly bought apartment buildings as rentals, that is a whole different genre. I would think this property needs $50,000 to update it. It could be a great deal!👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Move in ready ? No ! It has foundational water intrusion ,mold in the bathroom ,major concrete and deck work , a new roof ( in spite of no mold on the shingle ) and new windows ! So if you're a foreclosure guy you still need to invest a quite of bit of money in this property to make right !

I live in MI in a 1950's home and I love it I thankfully have never had a wasp problem with my awnings. I love the Dutch door as well. It looks like a 1.5 car. I love seeing this era of home to see what mine might looked like.

The big, dark pipes are cast iron. The copper pipes running into the cast iron are copper. Yes, I've seen copper drain lines many times before. Looks like there were some other, lighter colored metal pipes-those look like galvanized.

@@doreenclark8880 that's a given even if you own the home outright from a mortgage, if you default on the taxes it's under threat of foreclosure.
