Hi, which diet has any affect? Wahls is saying she did the paleo and she continued to slide. So that didn't work? Ive had ms since i was a teenager and at 30 i cannot walk or participate in my own life and all my limbs burn and shake. I'm on paleo diet and its made no difference if anything the healthy food is boosting my immune response.

@@CJ-ox4oc it’s the carnivore diet, all meat, no dairy. This doctor is on a carnivor(ish) diet and eats a lot of raw meat - but on this show carnivore diet is banned and is considered “the diet that will kill you” so she wasn’t able to tell the truth. Search carnivore diet - but I warn you, only eat nose to tail cow and lamb if you’re american. Otjer animals are feed inappropriately in america so the meat will cause you many problems. I’ve also been carnivorish myself and I know that if you eat a lot of meat you can not eat a lot of vegetables with it, cos meat is so satiating that prevents you from eating a lot of other foods. I am pleased your MS regressed for a time. MS relapses sometimes and it regresses at others. I nursed my wife with MS for 26 years. I gave her copaxone injections for 9.5 years to try to slow down the MS progression. MS then usually goes to secondary progressive and then primary progressive. She was unable to ambulate the last 15 years. I used a hoist, wheelchair, power drive, pressure relieving mattress etc. Everyone is different. There are four different types of MS. I am not a doctor. I was her carer for almost all that time and that had a very significant impact on my own health. She has now passed. On our wedding day 51 years ago, we vowed "in sickness and in health..until death us do part." We did that.

Every single person with MS has a different experience yet so many are able to relate to everything if not most of what Dr. Wahls is saying and experiencing. Defying the odds and doing your own research and believing that YOU can make a difference in your own health is first and foremost! Never give up on yourself and never settle for just one answer or one opinion. Meds or not - food is everything! as is exercise and being your best advocate! Stay positive and surround yourself with uplifting supportive people! It's so important to have a great support system as well as good, healthy food - vibrant energy and a positive outlook no matter what you're going through. My moms had MS for a lil over 20 years. Her diet isn’t the best. I’ve always told her to stop with the soda, snacks, and literally sitting around all day everyday. All of my memories are of her doing nothing. I need to look in to all of her efforts to get her results for my mother. You can sometimes lead the horse and hopefully she drinks.

my mom also has MS , she's had it about 13 years now , she's at the point where she's in a wheelchair because she tripped over the dog , broke her hip and then never tried to walk again after. I know she's in pain and has depression because of the illness , and now is a shell of the person she used to be . I started juicing as apart of my weightloss journey and give her a juice in the morning, I know she doesn't always drink it but I guess its the thought that counts . MS sucks and I wouldn't wish it on anyone . im sorry you and your family have to go through this , but please know you are not alone on this journey and there are other families out there going through similar experiences. I'll keep you in my prayers as I know from experience being the child of someone with MS can be very hard...I was 10 when my mom got diagnosed and I felt as if she missed out on a lot of my teen years and I watched her self destruct, the anger and resentment I held onto because of her lack of motivation to get better is still there some days and I feel like she gave up on trying to be better years ago. it must be hard for our moms to be shells of the people they once used to be , and it's hard for the families to watch . im lucky that in my life my dad has been the glue that has held our family together and he hasn't left her side and deals with the insanity that is MS . im writing this with tears in my eyes, because I hurt for her and some days I hurt for myself that I dont have a healthy mom , but im still happy she's here with us and that I was able to enjoy her being a good mom for the first 10 years of my life. her cognitive decline has been steady the last few years, she repeats herself constantly, blanks out most of the time and when she's around people will stare off into the distance during most of the conversation. when she drinks or eats she's starting to cough more and more and its becoming more apparent that the MS is winning . I hope your mom is doing okay and I hope you are too, take care of yourself and God bless you and your family, I will keep you in my prayers 🙏 ❤

@@sere7000 thanks for the kind words. Without telling too much my mother is beyond self destructive. She’s never been a hands on parent. All my memories are of her sitting around the house gossiping, eating, on the internet worried about someone else’s life or she’s watching tv. Or... doing all of that at once. Over the last 6-ish months she started seeing someone again after it’s been like 12 years and this person attacked me in my own home as a kid and also used and abused her. Sadly at this point as a 45 year old woman her dating life is still more of a priority and she has an addiction to being around ppl she feels more superior than. You know it’s been when 10+ close friends and family have all said that same phrase... “she wants to feel superior so she hangs around certain ppl.” She loves to flex her disability and government funded lifestyle, and the monthly payment she gets off flipping one house years ago. None of that money is spent on her kids or family. All herself, whoever she’s sleeping with and former addicts. She never hangs around or dates ppl with full time jobs or ppl who raise their kids full time. It’s sad. Lots of drama and I could right a novel in these comments at this point. I’ve just at this point (2+ months after her last eat incident) let her go and now I focus on my life, my younger brothers, and the friends and family who don’t gravitate towards that kind of toxic behavior of always being the victim or hanging around regressive people. I hope she gets the help she needs and stops obsessively gossiping, looking for fights and trying to raise other people’s kids. I just turned 27 this month and I have so much I want to do and I don’t want to end up like her. Bitter, insecure, and surrounding myself with people who use and abuse me and people who abuse women and children. I think you said it best with MS sometimes ppl just become hollow shells of what they use to be and have no motivation to do anything. I can’t be around that. It brings me down. Sadly my own mother thinks feeding, clothing me and doing the bare minimum as a parent means she deserves a trophy and public praise. And she loves to rant about doing the bare minimum on facebook. We all know parents on Facebook with drama, over sharing and gossip is embarrassing for the kids and nothing good comes from Facebook lol. It honestly feels like I don’t have a mother and a close friend said that’s what it feels like looking at the situation before I even said it. And they’re right. I’ve never really been able to rely on her for anything and don’t get me wrong I’ve cried and been emotional but I’ve also accepted reality and I have to move on. I have to... I just don’t care. I care enough to have a confrontation (there’s a lot I’m leaving out) and then I want to get it all out, hell maybe even fight and move on. I couldn’t even see myself even if I didn’t know her, I wouldn’t want to be friends with her. I just don’t like her and I think that’s ok. The saying is blood is thicker than water and I’ll add to that and say blood can clog up and cause possible death, water doesn’t. I’m sending you and your family positive energy, and I love that you still have a relationship with your mother. I’m happy I don’t have a jealous or envious bone in my body and don’t get emotional or cry or feel bad when I’m around other ppls loving families. I live vicariously through people and I’m so glad you were able to enjoy different aspects of your mother. And I salute your father 10x over. Thank you again. My brothers father died maybe 6-ish years ago. He’s 22 now and he needs me more. I’m his only sibling and he has no parents to rely on, just me, other family, and a few friends ❤️ our sanity and peace is more of a priority.

@@sere7000 Hello, I already went through this with someone very close to me, and after a lot of struggle and suffering we found a cure, I have already witnessed many cases of people who did not even see anymore or did not walk back to having a totally normal life, so I came to leave here the treatment that was really effective. The pharmaceutical industry has no interest in making this known, as vitamins are cheap and do not make as high a profit as conventional treatments. The Coimbra protocol was developed by the doctor PH.D. Cícero Galli Coimbra who is a neurologist and professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. proposes therapeutic dosages of vitamin D generally superior to what the pharmaceutical industries recommend this is a medical treatment that must always be carried out under the supervision of a qualified doctor Vitamin D is actually a D3 hormone Its main function in the human body is to regulate and enhance innate immunity So it is able to silence autoimmune diseases. This protocol also corrects levels of other vitamins and minerals such as magnesium to avoid kidney overload Drink at least 2.5 liters of water per day Restrictive calcium diet Do not consume foods such as: all dairy products (milk, yoghurts, cheeses), as well as chestnuts, dried fruits, canned sardines, orange juice, açaí, etc. Thousands of academic publications prove the efficacy of vitamin D in autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Type 1 diabetes, Sjögren's syndrome, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, autism ... Vitamin D has about 80 functions in our body Vitamin D is the largest regulator of activity in the immune system When vitamin D is deficient, the patient is unable to regulate, which means stimulating or reducing the activity of thousands of biological functions within the cells of the immune system.

I only need 6 hours sleep a night instead of my normal 8-9. My constant rumination that kept me in a state of fight or flight most of the day went away in 3 days and I just started crying with relief when I noticed. I'm so grateful to have found this way of eating. It saved my life. I was on a waiting list to get electroconvulsive therapy after 15 years of drugs not working. All this time it was just me poisoning myself following Canada's food guide. If nothing else, at least cut out seed oils, sugar, and grains, especially wheat. Funny in her story montage they make it look like Paleo made things worse, then cut to her juicing vegetables. No mention of what her diet entails.. which is basically a nutrient-dense, low-lectin/nightshade, keto-paleo approach, which is closer to what Saladino was advocating and he got yelled at!

Pretty much worthless video. If you’re not going to tell somebody how to reverse multiple sclerosis. For anybody who is looking at my comment, go on the ketogenic diet. When you’re dealing with multiple sclerosis, you’re dealing with damage to the myelin sheath. You need to bring your carbohydrate intake to below 50 g a day, and you need to bring your fat intake way way up using the ketogenic diet.
