The music in the episode at the end is so beautiful as he tells them about the planets a people singing the memory of Donna Noble. This was so heartbreaking. And this time he’s just alone in the TARDIS sad. No surprise bride or crashing boat. Just alone and sad.

Do NOT skip to Series 5. The Christmas one is... well, a Christmas one (so fun at least), but one of the specials is so damn dark and clever character-wise. (And I'm one of the ones who really loves the final two.)

I remember how ‘unimpressed’ you two seemed back in the early episodes. Glad you stuck it out. A lot of people didn’t like Donna in her first appearance in The Runaway Bride Christmas special - but she became a fan favorite over this season and to then at the end be - effectively - turned back into the version she was from the Runaway Bride was a major gut punch.

Recent spoilers I Agree especially over the recent episode's spoilers of course watching the show from beginning to where it is now Donna it's probably my favorite in terms of character development she is the best in the show she gets the doctor like a vest friend and possibly the only companion who could better the doctor Clara was too obsessed in trying to become them otherwise she would have been the favourite Donna is the true definition of friendship friendship

Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) also played the psychic maid Gwyneth (well spotted) in the Charles Dickens episode also set in Cardiff and featuring the space rift which featured in Torchwood - nice call back by the Doc and Rose. Cardiff is the capital city of Wales (part of the UK with England, Scotland and Northern Ireland) and Doctor Who was based at the BBC studios in Cardiff. Many location scenes were shot in Cardiff and South Wales (including Bad Wolf Bay - Dunraven Bay near Cardiff not Norway!) , and Cardiff often doubled for London as wll as appearing in its own right.

For someone who is basically a comedienne Catherine Tate's acting in the memory wipe scene is phenomenal.

She could do more dramatic roles for sure. Also check her out in "Much Ado about Nothing" if you haven't seen it. A comedy but some dramatic moments.

i commented on one of the season 1 reactions that season 1 and parts of 2 were almost unwatchable, people tried to argue but its so obviously true. Season 4 through to the end of Peter Capaldi is just incredible television.

I know that you're ahead through patreon but ultimately David Tennant is the best doctor but my favourite Dr moment is probably colonel Runaway the Dr wanting children to laugh out side his house throwing stones most intense moment next to the waters of Mars episode

There is a reason that David Tenant is the 10th Doctor.... he was a 10 out of 10.... he was perfect, but for those who have an issue with him it is shown in this episode. even victorious with all of his companions fighting for him and showing up in his name..... he still has to be a douchebag to one of them, by being mean to Jackie Tyler in the TARDIS, by not giving her something to do. Even if you don't like her, she crossed a dimension to honor him and he was cruel......

he wasn't being mean to Jackie though. Jackie is not good at getting something as simple as a VCR to work properly (after she's been shown how), so putting her in control of part of the TARDIS would be a disaster and undoubtedly too complicated for her. Unlike Donna who just believes she's not competent enough to do things, Jackie has shown people that she actually cannot do certain things. He gave her something truly amazing, a ride in the TARDIS when it is controlled how it should be, nice and calmly. What would've been cruel is to have her mess with the controls and then blame her for what went wrong in front of the others when he knew better than to let her.

One of the things I could not stand about Tennant's Doctor was he was over emotional and shouts alot and cries alot which is out of character and making him too human and less alien which just makes the character boring and also gets the special treatment more than the other Doctors and making him like he's the only one they are all the sane person for godsake.

I don't understand what this Seejay has got against the Daleks what he doesn't seem to realise is without them this show would never have happened and without Classic Who there would be no NuWho and I do recommend to watch the Classic series it has far better stories than NuWho it's proper science fiction for starters it doesn't have any of this soap opera rubbish. I'm also not a fan of the love story between the Doctor and Rose he's 900 year old a-sexual alien the Doctor should stay that way. I'm also annoyed that in the Doctor's flashback of all the deaths of the characters that Adric is not included in those flashbacks.

@joshuajoshua2732 thank you for sharing but you're not the show runner and The rest of us are not bound by your likes and dislikes You can't force somebody to like the daleks. and by the way, somehow I must have missed the fact that the daleks were in An Unearthly Child. oh that's right, they weren't. so you're wrong about your claim that the show would never have happened without them I also don't think the Doctor would defer to your decision about his/her sexuality, especially since the Doctor in the very first episode has a granddaughter and has had numerous off-screen romantic relationships throughout the centuries I do agree with you that Adric's erasure is annoying

@joshuajoshua2732 and since you said dar-lek that would mean that you're wrong because it's actually DAH-lek to an American English speaker yeah I'm aware that a British English speaker sees the "r" and doesn't pronounce it but most American English accents are rhotic. so if you're giving pronunciation advice to Americans, you should bear that in mind
