I remember a lot of times throughout my Doctor Who journey where I have asked the question, “What would happen after the enemy wins?” “What’s their after?” I didn’t realize that this got asked. While editing, it was gratifying to see this on screen. I didn’t mention it in my afterthoughts because I was just so in awe of Peter’s performance, so I thought I’d say something here.

you are in for an absolutely amazing ride. Episode 10s pretty good, but episode 11/12 are the absolute pinacle of what this shows capable of. 11 is one of the most unusual and interesting episodes since the weeping angel episode - it's also peter strutting his stuff as an actor. 12 is a tour de force of emotions and call backs. And River is one of if not the best long term plot reveal ever and she made a dalek beg for mercy. But Peter he grew up watching doctor who. He knows how all the doctors would act and feel in a situation and I think he shows this in his portrayal. To me he is a culmination of all the doctors. This was such a fantastic reaction as usual. That speech was so powerful, and so impactful. The journey that 12 has come on is truly amazing. Think back to how he was in "Into the Dalek" or "Kill the Moon". He was suppressing his emotions in those episodes because he did not know how to deal with them anymore - but now we have a man who has finally learned to deal with them, not only that, but how to use his agony and depression as a way to help people. I know it can sound strange to some people when they hear "this TV character really helped me", but honestly, 12, Peter and the Writers really have helped me through some tough times. It is impossible to deny that Peter Capaldi does not exude grandeur and genuinity from his very soul. Thank you for reacting to these and helping me relive how I felt when I fist watched them

This is possibly the most important episode in the history of Doctor Who (besides a certain episode still to come in seasons to come), and it is also an era defining performance from Peter. This performance among so many others was why Peter managed to totally eclipse my previous favourite Doctors and stands at the absolute pinnacle of them all for me. Some of the material he was given was subpar, sure, but he knocks every single performance out of the park. What an actor. What a character. What an episode. This episode ranks among my all time favorites for a variety of reasons. Capaldi’s performance in this episode is exceptional to say the least. His ability to nimbly switch from acerbic wit to emotionally dramatic is something to behold. Jenna Coleman also did a great job playing both Bonnie and Clara. Osgood; There are not enough good words to say about this character. The scene in the Black Archive - Yes, this is a simplified and generalized model of war or conflict in general. What a perfect backdrop to show the Doctor at his best. The Doctor’s experience from the Time War adds weight and validity to his words. Those that have seen war and have had to live with consequences of their actions do not wish that upon any other. This is the scene I would show to someone who had never watched an episode. These scenes that delve into moral conflicts and showcase the characters with superb acting are integral to what make this show great.

It is wonderful to see someone else who was so moved by this performance that it brought tears to their eyes. I often re-watch key portions of this episode and in spite of how many times I have seen them, they continue to grasp my heart with a profundity that so freely elicits tears. I can see so many echoes of each incarnation of the Doctor echoing just beneath the surface of Capaldi's own as he channels those who came before him and himself in such a coherent and inspiring way that is difficult to do justice to through descriptors alone. Before I continue to ramble, I just wanted to thank you for this reaction video. I realize it is over a year old, but I only just happened upon it. I think that reaction videos are a nice example of one of the interesting new mediums of connecting to people that the modern age continues manifest. I think there is great meaning in the way that your showcased emotions here (an in some manner of thinking, time capsuled) are able to reach out and connect with others in a way that could perhaps be described as emotional resonance.
