David Troughton is one of Britain´s finest stage actors. Such an interesting career, I could listen forever. Thank you so much, Fantomfilms for giving us all these insights and anecdotes.

Mr David Troughton...best Richard III I've ever seen at Stratford upon Avon. He managed to show the character's breakdown as he sat down on the side of the stage disheartened beaten by his failure on Bosworth Field. Erudite and intelligent gentleman. Thankyou

He's such a nice, unassuming man. I had to smile when he mentioned the scene in Henry IV in which he'd make the entire audience, including Prince Charles on one occasion, stand to acknowledge that he (as Henry) was now King, since Charles and William were there the night I saw David in The Tempest, his other favourite production. We were in the circle, and an unexpected frisson of excitement wafted up from the stalls a few minutes before the performance. He mentioned Alec McCowen and Simon Russell Beale as also having been in that production. I had contact with Alec, another lovely, unassuming man, towards the end of his life. He and I were from the same town, and he went to the same school as my father. Simon I first saw in The Winter's Tale, very early in his career, in a cast that also included a young Nathaniel Parker. Of the four Stratford productions I've seen, in fact, Simon has appeared in three.

I have to go rewatch "Enemy" now and see if I can spot him! And yes, the costumes for both of the Peladon episodes were so gorgeous, the rich purple-blue with the black furs ... beautiful stuff.

He was very good despite only being in two episodes. I like the scene where he tears Simmerson a new one over losing the kings colours.

As a huge fan of the proper new tricks, and midsomer I needed to see David troughton the human being and not the villain, and I'm happy to say I am not disappointed 😀 I wish so much to ask him how he felt about these characters, and how much of a challenge it must have been, good and bad if you're a stage actor at heart 💞 I love this, 😀😀😀🌟👍🇦🇺.

During "The Dark Times" when there was NO Doctor Who; we had to make do with "The New Adventures" books featuring Sylvester McCoy's 7th Doctor. Apparently they (Virgin Publishing) decided to Regenerate the Doctor and the images on the covers of the books would have been based on David Troughton! Luckily; they changed their minds! 🤔

Although He only had 2 episodes in Sharpe's Series. The way he Thrash Sir Henry Sinmerson is the most satisfying scene I've seen. 👍

In Australia on the internet it's extremely hard to see thinks on more private I'm guessing mostly English based actors, and that's all I want to see, I love a lot of American actors, but you can literally find out everything about them and their dog, literally 😄😀🌟🌟🌟👍.

And to think I thought nobody would be interested in a Patrick Troughton biography as his private life would be too dull and uneventful.
