No one seems to talk about the significance of "My angel put the devil in me" playing during Jack's scene. It means that Laszlo and Tallulah from Daleks in Manhattan lived happily and Tallulah was successful enough that the song she sang became a song known galaxy wide. Considering that Jack’s scene takes place right after Children of Earth, he REALLY needed a good distraction. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I think The Doctor hooked Jack up with Alonso because he knew about everything that happened with the 456 and Ianto. It’s the Doctor’s way of telling Jack, “I know what you did. I don’t agree with it, but I know you’ve suffered and I forgive you. I hope this lessens the pain. Goodbye.”

Personal head canon, but I believe the main reason why 10 didn't want to go and made sure to say good bye to all his companions is because of The Valeyard. Since 10 thought at time 11 would be has last incarnation, so as far as he knew, this could've been his final hurrah as The Doctor, so he wanted to go out with a bang. Obviously at the time The War Doctor wasn't a thing yet, but it still makes sense retroactively.

David Blyth He was annoyed/upset cause he thought he had escaped his death that he had basically been worrying about for the whole 4th season. But if I was in the same situation being basically the most powerful person in the Universe with no one being able to stop me, thinking I had avoided my death to then realise my death will be a result of saving someone completely unimportant who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think I'd have a tantrum as well
@infinitygames9317
6 жыл бұрын
David Blyth That “tantrum” was almost to prove a point to Wilf. He ends it with “It would be my honour” so it was clearly at least partially an act. And as previously stated, he thought he’d just escaped the foreshadowed death. He’s entitled to a little “tantrum”.

David Blyth in fairness 10 only lived for 6 years which is nothing to 11 and 12
@kyguy3242

@David Blyth His tantrum is a natural reaction the entire dichotomy that is the Doctor. He is arguably the most powerful being in the universe, and can do anything he wants, but he is somewhat limited by his basic human (more or less) instinct to help people. All he wants to do is travel the universe, but he is constantly put into situations where he must save others. Often times at his own risk. And in this instance, it meant his possible death/regeneration. But no matter what the situation, he ultimately chooses to save people rather than neglect them and go about his business. And that's what makes him a good person. This theme is perpetuated throughout Doctor Who.

Someone needs to do a remade version of the Doctor's rewards based on the last scene from Six Feet Under, the famous montage from "Everyone's Waiting."

Loved Catherine Tate in Dr Who. This should have been her last scene though.

Nunca entendí muy bien ¿Todos ellos de alguna forma sabían que el Doctor estaba muriendo cuando fue a visitarlos?
@THEVALEYARD

Sí. Todos habrían sabido que algo estaba pasando. Micky y Martha lo sabían por sus expresiones faciales, y Sarah Jane también, aunque no lo hubieran sabido con certeza. Jack, no tan seguro. Usé Google Translate, perdón si es malo.

"Goodbye Sally Sparrow" sounds like a late sixties pop song. Probably by Stoney Angel and the Weepers.
