I have a 18 jeep renegade with the 2.4 engine I use amsoil in it with amsoil filter to help take care of the engine and this multiair system. It does sound cool around 3500 rpm when the multiair starts to kick in you get that deep intake note and exhaust note

Unfortunately not. Normally the solenoids get filles with carbon. They are machine press fitted into the assembly with no way to replace them individually

I would just like to say that this engine does not have an “EXHAUST CAM” it is a SOHC engine. This apparatus allows the variable valve timing control of the intake valve’s only. If your gonna make a video flexing your mechanical prowess, it helps to know to know how it works and what the individual parts are called.

Well that’s weird because this “apparatus aka the multiair block has rockers that ride on the lobes on the very apparent exhaust cam and controls intake timing. Yes it may not be a true dohc because it doesn’t have 2 cams but the multiair block does the job of an intake cam. Before commenting on peoples videos go back to sleep and wake up on the right side of the bed

It does have an exhaust cam. It TECHNICALLY doesn't have a dedicated intake cam. It's a sohc with an electronic actuator for variable timing. They even call it an exhaust cam when you're looking at all the info on the book/mitchell/all data and the cam caps are marked E 1 2 3 4 "E" representing exhaust.

If oil is leaking from one of the solenoids in that block, is it completely replaced or can it be repaired?

Has anyone gone through the replacement of the multiair actuator? Ive read that the system needs oriming in order to get the vehicle to start. Anyone have to do this?

I just tried to start my dart for about 2 minutes. It sputtered and died and eventually primed enough and fired right up

The multi air brick is on roolers, just bolt it down and you're done. Just use common sense.

You may get lucky doing that a time or 2 but the portion that sits on the valve can be out of alignment if you just bolt it straight in which will bend the valves
