I bought my 2002 dodge 2500 4wd cummins 5 speed and had heard about this death wobble. I had to order my truck so I had some time to get this unit. I ordered it from a company called BD diesel out of canada. It came after I had my truck about 2 months. I installed the unit and haven't had any trouble at all. I wanted to get ahead of the game. It drives straight and true and no death wobble at all. This was money well spent I believe.

I'll be having this exact kit put on my 08 2500 after seeing this video. As a retired welder/fabricator/ machinist/ mechanic, this makes sense. I'm too old and stiff to do the job myself. I'll get get back to you

I didn't have any problems yet but I really liked this bar so I installed one on my 05 Cummins about 3 years ago and love it. Why wait for problems. There is a huge load on that steering box and they all give problems eventually. Now it handles off road here in the mountains in stride.

The only suggestion I would have made is to maybe throw a little locktite on the set screws keep them from potentially backing out.

I've had one for years. By supporting the bottom of the gear it seems to keep the lower bushing form wearing and the seal form leaking.

The most important thing that you MUST do in your truck: put this steering link (Y type) in the trash and use the proper T link assembly. This way you are going to see real differences in truck's behavior and most of all in security. The Y type is dangerous, specially with bigger tires. All the Ram's from mid 2008 are equipped with the new style.

I broke a pitman arm on a 3500. I checked that pitman but several times. And then about 4 years later it literally fell off. Lots of stress on those systems. That brace solves all that.

So did this part eliminate the sloppy steering or not? I was thinking about this and a Bilstein on my 2011 Outdoorsman 2500. It has new tires, ball joints, fresh alignment and isn't terrible but it does wander a bit. I just don't want to waste the money if it's not going to help.

tuneman59 I don't think it does it will mine doesn't feel like it does. it does help allot though. I would look up speed wobble dodge brace. I forget the website but this guy created a brace for dodges and apparently it supports very well.

I noticed my stering was a little loose after 580 k miles. But my truck is a 2wd. I only use it for the hot shot business. It's completely stock and is a total grandpa truck. Never been fd with. Totally like Clint Eastwood Grand Torino in the movie " Grand Torino "... anyways because it's a 2wd this part is not going to retrofit onto my truck. Because I don't have all that country lifted hillbilly jacked up cowboy pimped toothless farmer mud bugging twerkin overpriced imported tires w a Lubuc Texas boom box and speakers stolen from a Garth Brooks /Biden inauguration party.... I don't think. Would anyone know if I'm right on the subject?
