Couple things : liberal application of Permatex Anti-Seize on the splines; then use a socket big enuf to slide over those threads. Tap the arm back on striking the socket instead.

Saw some metal shavings coming off the screw of the pitman arm puller as you tightened it down. I probably have to do this job sometime soon.

Put the nut on first then suck it down then remove the nut then put the lock washer on.

That’s different than a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. My ball joint is at the end of that adjustable drag link. Right where your ball joint is at on this truck I have my steering damper hooked in that hole. Is this independent suspension on the front?
