Glad for the impromptu session. I was supposed to be at the game but opted for a concert. Though I did drop by the stadium for my jersey giveaway. It was tough looking at the box score tonight. Thanks for always taking us off the ledge.

Something I monetized last night about Teo, he doesn't like to walk, in fact he get pissed off. Last night's walk he wanted to slam his bat.

I scrounged through my many tabs and i think this is a list of outfielders the dodgers should pursue 1st. Riley Greene, 2. Lars Nootbar, 3. Brendon Donovan, 4. Tommy Pham, 5. Max Kepler, 6. Taylor Ward.

Outtie figuring it out in triple A would help so much. His 2nd half last year after his extended struggle: .264/.393/.458/.851 OPS Also plays a better CF than Pages is rn. So here's to hoping he can find it at OKC Another option I would like to see them give a shot would be Austin Gauthier. Plays SS, 2B, 3B and corner outfield. .944 OPS between AA/AAA this year

Roberts doesnt play, but players dont coach. It is his responsability to find ways to win close games and games vs elite pitching . Dodgers like deer between headlights but no gutsy plays called by manager. Who else is responsible if not doc?

Mookie playing out of position learning it on the fly is taking a toll on his bat. Mookie not producing and getting on base is taking a toll on the run production of the top of the lineup. And the bottom of the lineup, the bats are missing in action. Added all up -You don’t score enough runs. That’s just the problem from the offensive side. Now the pitching is getting smacked by the Dbacks and Reds enough said 😭💀

I think the defending of Dave Roberts is a bit excessive. It's true that Dave Roberts is not swinging the bats. However, in a race where things ebb and flow and where teams are going neck to neck and things go right and wrong and wins are by inches, it'll be the little decisions along the way that differentiate the winner from the loser. And over the past years, Dave Roberts has not made the good decisions. Time and time again, he makes a decision and people groan at the TV, only to the audience be proven way more right than wrong. In effect, the team has to outperform his decisions. Let me stress: this stretch is not his fault and the majority of this season is not his fault. But when the playoffs arrive, all his decisions are amplified. Not having the right instincts. Things like burning through players in a game too fast so that in later innings, he is stuck with a roster that can't win a game. Things like not knowing when to ride the hot hand or pulling a pitcher too late. Like when a pitcher is hot and has pitched 60 pitches through 6 innings and he gets pulled because you don't want to risk the third time around. It's such a cliche to say, "too much blame or credit is given to a manager." that is a cop-out. If you believe that, you might as well have a AI computer out there making the decisions. The real take is you want a manager to make decisive decisions where the majority of times it produces good results. Indecision is just as bad as decisive bad decisions. We don't expect every decision to work out. But we do expect the majority of decisions to be successful. That's what separates good instincts from bad instincts. At UCLA, we had coaches like Steven Lavin who knew many offenses and many defenses. He was a student of the game. But his flaw was not knowing what to do at any given moment. Defense is doing bad so let's do a full court press. It works! So the next game, he's all full court press and gets burned. It was like his was throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks. He would stick with the lower talent player because that player has one outstanding game but he was fighting for wins rather than building for the playoffs. And then when the team does well, you heap tons of praise onto Dave Roberts when you can't even point out the decisions in the game that made the difference.

The Dodgers postseason problems offensively have been because they are a boom or bust offense that has been a bust in October, and it seems that they might be having those same problems with consistency. Of course, they're going to lose games, but not scoring any runs is a serious symptom.

I don't see what this organization sees in Lux. I agree with Scott he created a problem. Mookie needs to go back to second base. We need another left outfielder. And for God sake 🙄 we need to stop leaving a damn village on the bases.. Stop depending on the damn long ball 😤 to get you out of trouble. All you need is a little blooper to move the damn runners over 😒. Very frustrating this series 😑. Flashback to October. We need to win these games. Regular season doesn't matter we need to make it to the post season and get to the finish line. And looking at this team series it's not gonna cut it. 😢

I just don’t understand why you guys are so cautious to put Mookie, one of the best outfielders of this century back to the outfield then addressing the infield.

Robert's is not the problem and that is an easy take. It's his job to manage. He can't take the at bats, he can't be out there in center. Does he make mistakes yes but ehat managers don't. Name me a perfect manager out there.

I wasn't frustrated until I started this video. It feels like the naysayers think the team should be 20 games up in the division in May. Scott adds a lot to the channel, but I wish he'd stop blaming Lux for Mookie being at SS. What's done is done--move on! I try to support the channel by watching and liking, but I struggle to watch when the mood is decidedly negative.

Thanks for tuning in, there isn’t a negative spin on our view with the team. It’s more of speaking on trouble areas that everyone forgets admist the grind of the season. If it were as easy as set it and forget it then I’d be cool about Lux being the 2B long term. But Mookie isn’t even their long term option at short, and he isn’t moving back to the OF. So there lies the root of it. Lux’s production must outweigh what it’s doing on the defensive end with 50, as well. Join the live next time! I really appreciate fan interaction.

@@scottgeirman I appreciate the reply. You can say there's no conscious effort to be negative, but too often the discussions come across to me as negative, and more than just constructive criticism. I realize people like to play armchair GM or mgr, but I leave the decision-making to the people in the organization who are smarter than I am and paid to make the decisions.
