Not really a good medium for continuous deep frying. Oil will burn rather quickly.

Great looking fryer and great video! I am curious how to clean / drain / store the oil on something like this. Maybe a follow-up video?

there is a release valve in the back that lets the grease out. It makes it very easy to drain and clean

Bayou classic has had problems with the one that comes in their fryer, but in all the online complaints I've never seen them answer anyone with replacement or anything, which is surprising because I've talked to bayou classic on the phone several times and they seem to be a good company. Luckily mine was spot on. I have several deep clip on fryer thermometers and digital also to check it against so I'm not to worried. And I think they're less than you'd spend on lunch according to what I seen on the internet. First cook was almost 40 piece's of fish and three pounds of crinkle cut fries and two pounds of hushpuppies. Cooked it all perfectly in less than 15 minutes! So glad I ditched the crappy bass pro pan style fryer, which undercooked, overcooked and ruined pretty much everything I tried to cook with it!

Do the crumbs go in a separate part of the fryer

Steve Pereira, It has a concave bottom, and the crumbs/residue falls BELOW the U-Shaped heating mechanism so they don't burn and ruin the oil. When you finish cooking, you let the oil cool down, and then open the valve below to strain and drain the oil. You can then remove the crumbs from the inside of the unit, either by filtering through the drain outlet and cleaning larger residue manually. It's a great unit. Saves a lot on oil as well.

He's right, love mine! I bought a 2022 leftover that was on sale right before all the huge increase's! Got mine for 400 out the door and bayou classic and most other websites are showing either 548.99 or 650.99. if you can find someone that has one for the old price of 399.99 better jump on it! Alot of website's jumping up to 550+shipping or higher 🤑

I've had one on backorder from HD for 5 months. They were in stock when I ordered, so not sure what happened. Cancelled my order this week to order one at the newer higher price. These look great thanks for the video.
