In Plato’s Republic, the character of Thrasymachus argues that injustice is more profitable and advantageous for oneself than justice. Socrates argues against this focusing on crafts, factions, functions, virtues, and the soul. This is the concluding argument in Book I of the Republic that leads into the group getting into other philosophical discussion.
