Joe Tsai and Shawn Marks are to blame too. There was no reason to start a conflict with Kyrie after the Boston lost last summer. The NBA is not Walmart or McDonald or your regular 9 to 5 job. So of course if Management is going to make moves, consulting their star players would be wise. When Kyrie mentioned that, Joe and Shawn took it personal and blew the whole thing out of proportion

I get what you're saying about the front office having responsibility in this, but I wouldn't include Kyrie in decisions. I would let him know before it goes public, but his motivation & the team's don't always seem to be the same. And that's cool, but if I can see that, I'm sure the team can see it too

That's how things are in NBA media. Superstars supposedly have more power than organisations. They must play, coach and run the organization. I don't think KD should be upset. I mean KD left Russ and then Steph. I know the circumstances are different, but the fact remains he left them and like you said it's business and in some cases it's peace of mind. Also, don't forget, KD asked out in the off-season too and made requests to go to championship built teams, so how do you think Kyrie felt then? Both these guys have to look in the mirror and within themselves. At the end of it all, they should remain friends.

@@ask7554 he was with Russ a long time. It wasn’t working out. Him leaving was only an issue cuz went to the Warriors. Btw pretty much everyone wants out when they play with Russ. Leaving Steph wasn’t that bad because they won two championships. Kyrie has been a headache pretty much his whole time in Bk and just when it looks like the Nets had a real shot at a chip he’s gone. With the roster currently constructed KD has no shot at winning the title.

The last season with Golden State KD seemed like he had a foot out the door and the vibe was different. When he got injured, Steph and Klay went back to their old splash brother style and they went on a tear, almost undefeated. GSW fans were actually saying it was better without KD, it was more fun. So of course KD deserves blame for what always happens around him. As Barkley rightly said, he’s a bus rider. The best bus rider ever. But he just wants to hop on, hoop, hop off.
