I just wanna say I've been following you for over a decade (I'm a year younger than your sis Alex), and the inspiration has been wild. If you are ever wondering if you've made a tabgible difference in someone's life, think about me. From embracing my natural hair back in college to switching career gears from engineering to philanthropy and now working my way through Grad School, I feel like you've been the big sis I've always wanted leading by example, being transparent about mistakes, and sharing lessons learned. One of my biggest takeaways from following along on your journey is that I can ALWAYS reinvent myself - from my career to my family dynamic, self-perception to my net worth. I can change my life. And with that comes the courage and audacity to figure out whatever comes with that decision. You have shared so much with us over the years, and I'm so grateful to you for that. When I'm ready to buy a home and have some kids (or renovate my back patio, or remodel my fireplace 😩) I'm doubling back on all the videos you've posted. I'd like to be a black girls who runs, me and my 18-minute mile are getting started this week. I can't wait to see where I'm at by the end of this year. Thanks for the ecouragement, as always. -Daniah (I live in the Bahamas btw, an international lil sis 😂)

As a Black autistic adult with Aspergers and ADHD and autistic children ( now successful adults) Im glad to see you talk about this. No research centers us and psychiatry ignores our concerns. Keep educating the autism communities. Our voices are important and our cultural differences, and Drs aren't competent with, can make it a lonely journey.

I very much needed to hear this today. I have a 7 yr old son who is autistic and was also diagnosed with a rare cancer last year. My 2 year old daughter has a speech delay and the therapists are telling me it’s not autism but I am always looking for signs of autism in her. I definitely need to go to therapy but for some reason I have been fighting it. All of this has been taking a huge mental toll on me. I think hearing your story gave me the push to finally get some help for myself.

I’m so glad you’re talking about this because it’s my biggest fear and the reason I probably won’t have another child. Girl-friend Ms Vaughn!!!! I just realize the main reason why I watch your vlogs. I love your content and positive energy of keeping it real and yet being protective of your family privacy. You share what you want to share. I am not a mother or a wife but we have so many other things in common . . . Loss of a sibling, failed relationship with mother and so much more. You have talked me into using your link for some talk therapy!!! I have had the same opinions about therapy!!! But I am going to do it because there are things that I certainly would never express to friends or people around me. I need you to be my therapist. Thanks for that push. Oh and I hate BofA but I will support your run!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

About mental health; from my xp: to anyone who's ever been a victim of violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. I've always had kinda androgynous look, which was a fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
