Thank you Dr Shim. Once again a very good informative video. I am currently waiting for a L5/S1 decompression operation. I am tempted to see a chiropractor in the meantime. But, in the past I have only gained some very brief relief from pain for a lot of money. I found that manipulation, whilst helpful to the muscles in the back in general, it was never really going to help with the pressure of a bone spur/ herniated disc on a root nerve. Most of the home exercises I have been offered have made the pain much worse!

@@026fouziabegum9 Am almost 5 months post op. I am in a much better place than I was before the Op! I nevertheless see myself within a long term recovery mode! I still need pain killers every day for central lower spine pain. I think this is the hardware! The most important point is that my sciatic nerve is not not now being spiked by a bone spur. SO I actually now have a life! Yipee!

@@TonyG-iu4td that's great news about post op results. How long did you have pain before you got it fixed? Also what surgery did you have done?

Can you please talking about Spinal decompression? For herniated disc’s.. supposedly, when you pull the spine and decompress the disc, it can cause a bulging or even a ruptured disc to go back into place and heal.. I have 3 herniated disc’s l3-l5 are damaged causing lots of pain
