I think your asset Alex is you are a good narrator and storyteller . It's a gift . Anybody can ride a bike some better than others but can you tell the story about the bike and the adventures that go along with it Spontaneity can be a asset over structured and precise moments of doing things . Those who wait breeds anticipation . You have to do your thing and if you don't you won't be happy and others following wint be either .

Glad you're getting things figured out, Alex. We appreciate you taking us along for the ride, literally, and metaphorically. I realized many years ago that mountain biking is just something I've gotta do. If I stop for any amount of time, it's a serious downhill slide, both physically and mentally for me. There are worse addictions.

Hey Alex, it's the legally blind dude you met on Jim branch. You talked about getting stuck in your head. I also get stuck and it's not pretty. When on the trail and all I can think about is what I can't see, I'm in trouble. It takes so much energy to wrestle my mind back to the task at hand and that is to have fun, on my bike, in the mountains, surrounded by beauty. Once I get my mind right everything becomes much more clear and the joy that I get to ride my bike returns, then all is well with my soul.

I love the honesty of your true human side, as well as the epic mtb'g! So inspiring to someone that often second guesses the money, time and effort committed to the personal (selfish) pursuit of the thrill of riding. I do believe it makes me a better person. Alexander, I subscribe and enjoy your videos for several reasons: a) your enthusiasm as you ride (nothing kills a vibe like silence); b) your ride skills; c) your honesty in that you don't use click bate titling and you open up about yourself which makes me relate to you better and I want to watch more. Keep up the great work which includes the stories and the uphills! And yes, some days I'm stuck and a ride always breaks me free but 'just moving' is sometimes the hardest part and it makes no sense because after I get out there when those endorphins are having a party i'm like, why didn't i get out here sooner?

Great video Alex, as always! Concerning the "better" way to carry your bike, here's what I do, which is fairly comfortable: 1- put your bike in front of you, front wheel to the left, back wheel to the right, left pedal down 2- put a knee down, grab the lower leg of the forks with your left hand and your left pedal with your right hand 3- slowly but surely stand up, rising the bike and putting your head inbetween the front wheel and the left pedal 4- your bike should now be upside down, which is way more comfortable! Love the great work man🤙

You said it perfectly and its something I struggle with myself, especially when trying something new and unfamiliar. I get stuck overthinking of potential issues I need to "fix" or "avoid" without even getting to the point of experiencing any failure myself because I never start what I set out to do. While waiting for Canada's never ending winter to end, I'm tackling doing as much maintenance on my bike myself to learn more about it vs taking it to a shop. But I decided, instead of trying to get it done all in one day, I've got the bike setup in my basement and I'll work on it slowly for an hour or so, set things aside, and return to it another day with a fresh mind. Day 1 I removed the chain and cassette to do a full cleaning. Day 2 I've removed my tires, cleaned all the sealant from last season gave the wheels a wash. Once I broke it down to smaller projects, it seemed more manageable to break the the whole bike down into smaller projects so not to get overwhelmed and overthinking of the other stuff the bike needs.

Having freedom to do fun things in life is really important. And to find a proper balance between the things you need to do and the things you want to do. All based on your own needs. Never because society expect you to do things. One thing that never made sense to me is having a crap job just to afford a decent bike and then being to tired, in bad health, that you can't enjoy the bike you just bought. If you dont have a good freetime/sparetime (time outside of work), nothing else really matters.
