"Needs of the business" most subjective statement. Rather the miscalculation or incompetency of the management.

Yeah she was hoping emily had only checked monday so she could lie and claim it was changed days ago and she just didnt pay attention. Thats why she quickly swerved to "needs of the business" when that failed.

Could be a law firm or a medical clinic. Or an apartment building management office. (By the way, this happens all the time and is illegal but too bad because if you point it out you get fired on the spot.)

24 hours or more in some states and any schedules not posted publicly are invalid by law in some states. On computers don't count, it needs to be in an obvious space viewable by all staff

Hahahahahaha! Good luck getting those schedules posted in most offices!!!! There is no office worker in this country who has sufficient money to afford an attorney for employment litigation. Without a union, management will ALWAYS win.

No, once the schedule has been sent out, that's it unless someone calls out sick, or any other possible "life" things that occur, we offer to whoever wants more hours. We have enough staff to have full coverage even when two or three people are out. Labor Board would have a field with this "manager" and owner of the business will also get slapped with a nice little fine as well. If working for a business with an incompetent management such as this, screenshot the schedule for proof. When one has a wishy washy managerial staff so they can't pull stunts like this. I had this happen to me with a little part time job I took in semi retirement. Turned into a three way circus and I resigned and the owner called after he reviewed the camera and what I had previously provided. And was offered the managers job and I turned it down. There was a reason why I retired. I did offer someone I knew that was perfect for the job. He was hired and things are running smoothly.

@maxalberts2003 Could be a law firm or a medical clinic. Or an apartment building management office. (By the way, this happens all the time and is illegal but too bad because if you point it out you get fired on the spot. And most office workers can't afford legal representation) This would never happen in a unionized environment and management knows it. Or, if it did, it would happen ONCE and that manager would be given a severe reprimand. But the vast majority of clerical workers get treated like this by their petty-minded, insolent managers BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE A UNION.

Just so you know a rotor is a part in an engine or motor and employees are managed according to a schedule please quit calling the schedule a router, it just makes you seem so ignorant
