Thanks Jerry. It's been over a year and a half since she passed away, and I still think about her every day. Yesterday, coincidentally, I disassembled that ramp. I figured that I'd build another when the time comes. They certainly aren't with us on this earth long enough. Hopefully what they say is true.

That was tough to watch. I came back for follow up to see if she used it. It was evident she ready to go. Sorry for your loss. I know it is very tough. My hunter a CBR lived 13 years. And he would be having a bm and trying to get up from laying down at the same time. I knew it was time. I cried for weeks. Now my Jedi Knight. Is almost 10.and I am beginning to see the same troubles all over.

Nice toys, I mean tools. Im glad to hear Coco is no longer suffering. She was a good dig. I can tell. Did you get yourself a new friend? I'm sure you Miss Coco, but personally i cant imagine living without a dog!

Thanks for watching and the kind words. I miss Coco and think about her everyday. I do a fair amount of traveling which requires having somebody to take care of a dog. I ended up getting two cats. They are pretty awesome company and a little lower maintenance. So instead of having somebody come a couple times a day to let the dog out, they only have to come one time to feed and scoop the litter box out. I have an automatic feeder that does the rest.

I hate to see animals in pain, my lab/ chow mix is 16, 17 in March of 2021, he also is having trouble, mostly getting up n down, Im also trying to build a ramp for him, he is not as bad as your dog, but I would on your ramp on left side looking down make a solid wall with plywood, paneling or something that can get wet, so she may feel more safe, or put on both sides. That is probably what is keeping her from going down it. Could try it with cardboard first n if it works then buy something solid, hopefully it will work.

Thanks for the advice David. Unfortunately, her arthritis has taken a turn for the worse. I have to carry her down the steps, and even if she was willing to take the ramp, she wouldn't be able. It's sad to see her this way, and difficult to decide when to make that dreaded decision that none of us want to make. I know that I can't be selfish and keep her around if she is suffering, but she still has that little playful side that tells me that she is not in a great deal of pain. I could be wrong about that though.

@@themostlymikeshow im sorry to hear that, I know exactly how you feel, we don't want them to suffer but when we see them wanting to play and eat n still be happy it's a hard choice to make, I know my dog is a miracle at 16 and a half, you will know when it's time. Good luck with everything.

Please do not take offense to this I have been a vet tech for 20 years and am sorry to say that it’s time for u to put her down she is in an extreme amount of pain dogs will naturally hide how much pain they are in so when it gets to the point that they can not hide it any more plus with her clear deformities not to mention it probably hurts her to eat and have a bowel movement I let’s clear to see how much u love her and even how much she loves u but true love is knowing when to save her from the pain that she is in every second of the day in some cases it is easier both for the pet as well as the owner if u get another dog while the pet is still living this is actually more for the pet cuz once she sees that someone is there to take care of u she will probably let go and it may help with ur transition I wish u the very best and may God bless u and ur house I will keep miss coco in our prayers
