It's an Audi. German vehicles, at least in the US are a no go. Unless you lease them. But I'm not into that kind of stuff. I drive my vehicles into 200k plus mile territory. So Lexus and Toyota for me. As long as they are well maintained 👍
@initialyeet3951

@@joseCalderon1976Hey, German vehicles are fine too. It just varies on a per engine/model/generation basis. Don’t lump everything together. For example, a 2.5 Jetta/Golf will be just fine for 250k+ miles, and an E46, while it needs some up-front work, requires only normal maintenance after for a car of its age and caliber.

VAG is trash! A lot OEM parts are made of plastic like water pumps, belt tightener.... Plastics don't have to be bad as you can see on all 1990-2000 Japanese cars, but on all VAG cars I had in my workshop there were bigger or smaller issues with plastics... Even the average mileage of the VAG cars is far less than on JDM cars! For example: my 1997 Subaru Forester got 440.000km with no major problems... My 1991 t4 also nearly reached 440.000km but already got a new head, the third transmission and the second injection pump... "German quality" does not exist!

We had a wonderful 2006 Audi A4 wagon 3.2, we didn’t drive it for 5 months and I left food in it and it got moldy! Of course the battery was dead and when we hooked it up to the charger the beep beep beep alarm sounded and it would not shut up for 2 mins SO ANNOYING! We got it to 100% charged and the car would not start it sounded horrible! So we had it towed to the German car repair shop and they told us the left upper timing chain failed! They said the engine was toast and there were bent valves and the rocker arms were laying on the cylinder head. Price was 12,000 dollars, it was totaled! So we got a 2012 Audi A4 wagon 2.0T and it burns oil like crazy other than that it’s great! Failure mileage 106,642 miles! RIP 2006 Audi A4 wagon 3.2 2006-2022

Stay far far away from the 2.0T found in the A4-A5-Q5 of those year ranging from 2010-2016ish. Fucking terrible cars. Engines are boat anchors unless you know how to repair them yourself. Burns oil from low tension piston rings from factory. So essentially you need to rebuild and update a lot of internal engine parts to fix the issue, as well as timing chains will wear out or ‘stretch/elongate’ pretty prematurely as well. These can break your wallet easily!
