I have watched this bootleg about a dozen times now...and I have got to say that this is one of the best solos I have ever heard. I have seen Dokken over a dozen times in my life in the 80's and George's work here is nothing short of sublime. Just one of those once in a lifetime lightning in a bottle moments. 😉🤘

"Just Got Lucky" from Beast From The East live; nothing compares because Lynch is so smooth, melodic, and pleasingly sounding. When George was on, few compared. I always felt like Warren DeMartini had similar talent. The "unplugged" years sunk metal and ushered the brief grunge era, now mostly forgotten. As such, the beauty and talent of the original metal era is a heartwarming memory. Fluorinated music Now reigns.

As a lifelong Dokken and Sir Lynch fan since the first time seeing Just Got Lucky at midnight on MTV as a teen, after 35 years of metal, came to the conclusion this is probably the favorite song of all time. No small feat with all of that music and shows. Hole In My Head from Dysfunctional and Just Walk Away are right up there with insane monster tones King George grabs in the solos. Which is saying a lot. How do you not include All I Want, and The Secret, and Paris Is Burning, and Heaven Sent, and Dream Until Tomorrow, and...

This is the best sounding crappy bootleg! The boys sound GREAT: Wild Mick's crush groove, Pilson's punchy clicking grind & vocals, Don still had most of his voice intact, and of course Lynch went off into creative rock fusion nirvana... Lynch doesn't always land on his feet live, but OMG he did time and again here... I watch/listen to this time after time and time and it never gets old....

Frank Erickson I agree, I remember To High To Fly came on the radio the first time I heard it I was like, WOW! Got the album and it wore off. But over time it has grown like a revisit to it and realized it is real good. Guess I was to caught up in the Country Line Dancing craze at the time cause I hated most grunge music which ended my favorite era of ROCK music.

Odd fact - George Lynch started seriously body building after being mugged and beaten up following a "Lynch Mob" gig at NYC's The Limelight in 1991.

It's funny seeing this, being we were seated about this close.. what I remember mostly was this very song... after they played it, there were two teenage boys seated in front of us... they looked at each other with a big smile... one said "who the F... are these guys ??"

Jake LaGuna 1 second ago Not true on the banana head stocks... I have owned three GL REAL ESP kamis... The one he is playing here is not a Kamikazi... It's a 1988 ESP maverick with reversed head-stock, and is neck-thru... not a bolt-on.. So it is very rare...

Don looks a little strung out to me. But he still performed well. It was good to see George with the band, but in my opinion, Reb Beach did a much better solo in the 1999 video. Not that George's wasn't great it was, but Beach's was different it had a more surreal sound. Watch it and see if you might not agree.

A Tabish yeah because CC actually wrote hit songs and had a chemistry with the band that Kotzen never had. It just goes to show that technical proficiency isn't everything in regards to being successful as it relates to music.

@@alanndrake2619 native tongue still is a masterpiece million times better than all the other cds made by poison. The fact is that poison was a pretty stupid band like steel panther nowadays, and Richie was and still is a too complex and too serious musician for that kind of bands.
@alanndrake2619
5 жыл бұрын
Axel and here's another fact, great songs sell albums and to suggest that Native Tongue was better than Look or Open Up is patently absurd as there' were MAYBE two songs really worth listening to in Stand and Theatre.. I'll take being the rock star and success that CC enjoyed over the technical prowess of Kotzen that paled in comparison.. When people turn on the radio and hear Poison they want an actual rock song like TDTM or Nothing but a good time not the over technical stuff that Kotzen plays and if by stupid band you mean mega platinum selling artist then we'll have to agree to disagree how success is defined..😂
@axelcaselli8238
5 жыл бұрын
@@alanndrake2619 I'd like to be stupid like them😂. Anyway I totally agree with you. Rk wasnt in the right place at the right moment. But in my opinion NT is a truly masterpiece, better than the others but I understand that this album was too complicated for poisons fans and they wanted to have fun in the old way.
