Here's another vote for Aldi canned meat, good quality and far cheaper than any other store. Their corned beef, sardines, copy of SPAM and the wild caught salmon stand out to me.

I save a lot of these videos into a playlist file on KZitem for reference when I need to go back and look something up quickly. He gives a lot of useful data that many food preppers simply over look and do not pay attention to but it will matter when the time comes.

I just picked up canned beef products in this brand yesterday for the pantry. I have never used them and was uncertain, so your endorsement eased my mind about my choices. Thank you. I am prepping for whatever happens, and if we’re lucky and nothing happens, I now know that we have a good, tasty product to eat.

I also like sardines/tuna in olive oil or other oil, BUT it's my understanding that oils in general can go rancid in long term storage. Watching many other vids taught me that, so I just get brands in water so they'll store longer and not get rancid. I can always drain the water off later then add olive oil or mustard/hot sauce to the sardines and eat em up w/crackers...yummy!! Be careful at DG Les cuz I've experienced being overcharged and the cashiers won't do a price override to make the price match the shelf price. DG is doing this on purpose to make money and have already had a few class action lawsuits on them for different things including overcharging customers. Watched a video on here last night about it all and boy there's a lot of comments from other shoppers/employees, just be careful cuz they won't change it and tell you they have to go by the scanned price. Thanks for sharing!

Have you looked at trader Joe's? When you showed your dollar General prices, I noticed trader Joe's prices are cheaper and I found they have a better selection of fish and chicken. It could be my area, but it's a great resource worth looking into. Also big lots carry these brands you showed at lower prices.

Just a thought, the FDA doesn’t require manufacturers to disclose what’s mixed with the olive oil, so lots of those fish in olive oil are half or more canola or soybean oil, even tho it says olive oil on the can. I buy water packed & add olive oil I buy from a local olive mill here in AZ or pure olive oil imported from Italy bc the Italians DO regulate what can be in their oil. Of course, in shtf, we may not be so choosy, but seed oils inflame my body & I’ m super careful to avoid them bc of how sick they make me. I ate at a restaurant recently, sick later, & when I asked I learned the “butter” on my food was a blend of butter & margarine. But they called it butter, even when I asked for no seed oils. 🙄
@ChefPrepper

Thanks for the heads up on the oils. I have never tried adding olive oil to the Packed In Water types. Good idea. I will have to try it. Those seed oils are very inflammatory. Good to avoid them.

Home made corned beef hash is so much better than the canned stuff, and less fatty but very filling. Cant abide salmon in the can. Dont want to try chewing fish vertebra. Got a tuna fish sandwich in san francisco that they added canned salmon to. I got nauseous when i started chrunching vertebra. I just could not finish this sandwich. When i buy a tuna fish sandwich i dont expect salmon in it. With vertebra.
