Very much would like a 72 hour kit. In Arkansas we have tornadoes instead of hurricanes so we would be along the same lines as you. My spouse is not really very supportive so I’m doing the prepping on my own. I’m 71 and he’s 75 but we are in relatively good health. He just has different priorities than I do. I guess after 51 years of marriage, things change a little! I’ll keep on doing what. I’m doing which is mostly the food side but when it comes to get home bags, I get a little overwhelmed. I just recently found your channel and I’m learning different things and being reminded of other things I need to be doing. Thank you for the time you put into these videos.

I hit the Dollar Tree at least once weekly. The quantity of the containers for a lot of items are very small, like veg oil, salad dressing, mayo, A-1, etc. But it's affordable to buy smaller quantities and over time, it builds up. I'm not rich and it's expensive to buy things in bulk. Dollar Tree is a good way for me to get lots of different things even if it's in smaller quantities. Dollar Tree serves a purpose for people like me who are on a budget, but who are still emergency-minded.

Well said, Kaycee. It truly is a great option for budget-minded folks who want to build up stock in their pantry as well as other items like medical, and many other household items. Last trip to DT I looked for himalayan pink salt in grocery... none there. Found some in bigger bags in bath/first aid sold as a bath salt soak, ingredients were nothing but 100% pink himalayan pink salt. It looks like a rock salt but bought 2 anyway. It's still pink salt, they no longer have the 1 pound bags of the fine grind in grocery. Trickery at its finest. Next time you go try a can of the southgate beef stew (1.25) It's a good deal and cheaper than the bigger name brand cans. It's dinner in a can and have a few cases of the chili/stew. It can always be dressed up with your preferred spices and served over rice, pasta or whatever your imagination comes up with. Plain jane is cool too but I add a few spices to the chili and some creole/chili seasoning. Let me know what you think about the beef stew. I ordered mine online and picked up at the store when the email said it was pick up time. Otherwise they charge out of the rear for shipping to your door. Thanks for sharing Grey! You need to make a list of the most common gmo foods. If you are going to eat processed foods, you are going to get gmo. If there is sweetner, its most likely from beet sugar or corn syrup. Both gmo. If they are using cane sugar, they will proudly tell you. Anything with soy or corn. Thats just about everything. Oils --- corn soy canola cotton seed. I dont like the idea of everything being gmo. Its made that way so it can be sprayed with weed killer. I cant make everything from scratch, so grin and bear it the best i can. I love dollar tree hauls. There are several products cheaper there. The very first "prepper" thing I ever did was create a dollar tree first aid kit. I got a inexpensive tackle box and stocked up. I rotate regularly to keep on top of dates. I'm confident if i need to bug out i can grab it and go! We are a family of 6---4 are girls so we have to be mindful of our additional "needs". Can't wait to see your first aid kit--maybe you thought of things i didn't!

Please be mindful when buying food items at DT. They don't post recall item's. I bought applesauce pouches for my child. She was consuming it for 6mos. It was recalled in November for high levels of lead. So if you are prepping it's good to be mindful of recalled item's.

Many Canadians have said that a lot of the food in Canada is very pricey and it keeps rising. Food cost here in the U.S. Has gone up, some items have increased by 25-50% for certain items since early 2021

I am also not a fan of the bioengineered products. It's in so many stuff. I recently learned that if it does not state on the label that it contains bioengineer products, but has a QR code to learn more, if you scan it, it takes you to their product page stating that the product does contain the bioengineered products. It did for me when I tried on some cheese curls at home. Just to let others know in case they were not aware.
