Don Grolnick Quintet - Jazz Fest Wien 1991 Don Grolnick - Piano Eddie Gomez - Bass Victor Lewis - Drums Randy Brecker - Trumpet Joe Henderson - Saxophone
H The hardest thing about playing this tune is holding back tears on the out head if you let this amazing tune and the people who have played it get into your psyche.

I never heard this version, with Joe Henderson playing. I'm used to Michael Brecker's version. Nice to find this!

Superlative. No slight to all the masters on this performance to state my opinion that it is Eddie Gomez's creativity that truly vault theres others into the stratosphere.

Not sure if the sax or trumpet... but one of them was not precisely in tune when playing together...a little flat

It is sometimes unpredictable with tuning. Temperature on stage, the piano tuning -these really affect the the intonation on jazz gigs. It´s not like a temperature controlled concert hall used for classical music. They played wonderful music from their innermost selves that´s what it´s all about.
