I had this on VHS a long time ago and lost it. Thanks so much for posting this. What a marvelous teacher.

This is so simple and common sense instruction. A lot of these modern guys like Brad and Kyle make bowling look like an exercise in contortionism. I wish Kokomo was still alive. I'd love to take lessons from him.

When I was a whole lot younger than now, I bought a book by Don Johnson for beginner bowlers. I got up to a 175 average and thought I'd found gold. I am just so sorry he died so soon in life. He will forever be MY hero. Just loved him.

I'll never forget Don Johnson's 299 game in the t.v. finals back in the day. He left a solid 10 pin on his last ball.

1:44 Oh man, if only we could just copy this approach and duplicate it 12 times each game.... wooooooooooooooo!! I don't need to see any more to know that Don is the best coach I could ever have for free :)

Thank you for sharing. These are very helpful and informative. It really answers most of my questions on how to improve accuracy, how to properly release the ball, what is positive axis, how to use it as an indicator and what to observe on the ball as it approaches the pocket, etc. . Again, thank you.

Money would not buy the treasure contained in this video. No coach out there will spend the time necessary on you to get the swing and timing so perfect as in this video. (that's just my opinion, not a fact). I feel that Don has already pumped up my game exponentially in the first 12 minutes. I'm ready to go to the lane and try out my new stance and timing :)

I am 64 and have found Don’s figure 8 is the only way I can generate ball speed. People laugh at me but so be it

I too have difficulty generating ball speed and the fig 8 helps me too

Don says to move the ball first and then the first step. Earl Anthony says to move the ball and the first step at the same time. Hmm.
