In the book 'Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life' by the wonderful Wayne Dyer - he told of an ancient belief that said: ".... you get what you think about - whether you want it or not...." Worth remembering... ❤❤❤

A perceived danger thought we believe something might happen that we have to protect ourselves, we keep delving in- this thought will marinate in our subconscious and will produce a habit..to turn on the alarm without warning. It’s like learning how to drive a car, when trained, you automatically turn on the brakes when perceived danger is present. It’s all about how we train our brain, negative or positive. It will produce symptoms based on thoughts we believe in.

Has anyone tried the DARE Response for anxiety? It works well with this approach.

Yes, many in my community have used DARE in conjunction with my work. The DARE approach is very similar to my concepts for pain and other chronic symptoms.

Too funny, I have a 'tractor boy' living next door too. LOL. Great videos btw. I 'stumbled' upon your channel earlier this year. I've dealt with chronic pain for almost 40 years now. It comes and goes but seems to be more frequent and more intense the older I get. You're videos starting showing up in my KZitem feed after I searched on stretching for meralgia paresthetica. Any way I appreciate you and your videos. Namaste.

Dear Dan, Thank you for the every day videos, they are very supportive in the process. Just a quick question regarding thinking and perciving the danger. My brain mostly thinks with the images and reacts to them more than actual thoughts with words, do you know how to work with this? The images are not as easy to be removed as thoughts, they stay or flash for a long time and the brain and body take is a a reality and stress the system. Do you have any experience of working with imaging thoughts?

Thoughts and images almost always go together. Try not to define your way of thinking as different. We don't have to "remove" the thoughts. We just don't have to believe them.

Dan, you're the best! Thank you for posting so diligently... You're really walking alongside us all 💕💕💕 have you seen Celine Dion's documentary? 😢 Her condition seems like it could be PDP! Her story of onset includes a panicked reaction... I pray she and everyone suffering like that find your channel. What an incredible light you've become!!

The only problem when I experience anxiety is that it increases the pain because my nervous system has become so sensitised that one anxious thought sends off a whole Ricochet of increased pain and yes I definitely need to change my thinking around the anxiety but it's all related to sleep which has become traumatic so thank you for this Timely session on our thoughts I have a lot of work to do in reframing my fears around sleep. 🙏😢

@@robynwinter-blick9697 I understand. Fear is also involved in the tapering process. Less fear = easier time with it.
