Excellent info. I returned from Aruba on July 28 and it took 4.5 hours to get through the airport when departing. Only 3 customs agents on duty. American Airlines kept the gate open until 3:15 despite a scheduled departure time of 2:20 because about 30% of the passengers for the flight were still in the customs line, and this was on a Wednesday! I’ve been to Aruba 8 times and it’s getting slower at the airport each time. I STRONGLY recommend getting to the airport FIVE hours early. Also, don’t waste any time shopping once you pass the first screening. You can shop or eat AFTER you pass US customs and the US bag screen and metal detector which comes directly after US customs. Last, bring a couple of pens. Trust me on everything I wrote and the info in this video.BTW, I tested positive for covid five days after returning home and am still symptomatic today, Aug 19.

Great & very informative video! One update per 1st Aug 2021 6:10 a flat insurance premium of $15 is charged for stays not exceeding 180 days & children up to & including age 14 are free of charge (so, in other words, a reduction in cost).

I’m so confused. Thank you so much for your help!

Hey actually you can still use CommonPass. The thing that changed as of today is that vaccinated Americans still need to take a Covid test. Before, vaccinated folks were exempt. CommonPass has two options: either to sign up via vaccine, or via Covid test. So you can still do it via the test in the way I walk you through in this video. Have an amazing trip! And thanks for watching!

Thank you for this video, it is very helpful as I’m planning on going to Aruba in February. First overseas trip since Covid took over the world! Stupid question for you. . . if you test positive in Aruba, you are not allowed to re-enter the USA until you have recovered and proof of negative test, even if you are a US citizen, correct? If you got put in this situation do you think it would be difficult to find accommodation (especially affordable accommodation) at the last minute to quarantine at for two weeks? Also, what travel insurance do you recommend that covers such accommodation costs for cases like this where Covid is the reason for trip interruption? Thanks in advance.

I went to Aruba in November 2019 and November 2020. November 2019 was nice, but November 2020 it was a ghost town, with businesses closed and pools being empty. I can’t imagine how bad the economy of Aruba will be since the CDC put Aruba on a “Do Not Travel” list, because it’s primarily Americans who go to Aruba. Of course Americans can travel to Aruba, but it’s not recommended. No idea if I’m going to Aruba in November 2021

Can I ask a stupid question? I’m making the assumption your from the US. When you got Covid there you couldn’t come back home until you tested negative, correct? Was finding accommodation at the last minute hard? Was it very expensive? I’m just curious as I’m planning on going there in February and this is the only thing I’m worried about, getting Covid while there and then getting stuck there for two weeks having to try to find an affordable place to quarantine.
