My favorite Marilyn movie! Too many times was she put in movies to be the ditzy blonde but in this one its straight thriller and suspense and you can just see how much talent this woman had!

Marilyn Monroe was a very talented actress... I used to have an opinion on her based on her public persona without even having watched one of her movies in its entirety... I admire her talent now!!

One of the most impressive performances by Marilyn Monroe I've ever seen. She was incredible. This trailer doesn't even touch on the best scenes. Marilyn was always a good actress but this was something else. She should have been nominated for an award. Trivia: Jim Backus (voice of Mr. Magoo) -- was the father of the little girl in this film with Marilyn; was in an earlier Humphrey Bogart film; a James Cagney film; a Richard Burton picture; was James Dean's father in Rebel Without a Cause and was friends with Elvis Presley (there are pictures of Backus at Elvis parties). Mr.Magoo was one of the few actors who acted opposite just about every idol in Hollywood. Marilyn, Bogart, Cagney, Dean, & Presley. What a career.

Marilyn was the first really big human star. The former lived far from the public. They didn't speak of childhood, of youth, of joys and sorrows, of private life. Marilyn changed all that. In many interviews, the journalists asked if she was happy, because they knew of her poor childhood, of broken marriages ...

Richard Widmark actually said: "I liked Marilyn a lot as a person but we had a hell of a time getting her onto the set. But when we watched the rushes back, she had us all knocked off the screen."

My friend and I watched this movie last night. We thought Marilyn did a great job playing the psychotic babysitter, but the movie scared the living daylights out of us.

I saw this late night on cable years ago and was quite impressed with MM's performance. Richard Widmark was off the chain too. Good movie worth checking out!

Marilyn plays a babysitter. I turns out that she is mad. It is a very exiting movie and Marilyn is amazing. She was very happy about this part and did resarch. She is absolutely no bimbo. It is great seeing her play a more dramatic roll. I really recommend it! :-)

Bus Stop was the best movie that I've seen MM play a role in. Then I saw Don't Bother To Knock! MM rode her acting skills to new heights in this role. From sex kitten to psycho beotch within minutes her acting was superb and compelling to say the least.

I was hoping she'd live up to her comment that she gave this her best dramtic acting, and SHE DELIVERED. It's SO uncanny to think that this was so reminicient of her real life later. Thank you, FYI I will be using this in my Facebook dissertation, Marilyn Monroe's Magical Life, and Tragic Murder... to begin August 3rd; ending with her death on August 4th (NOT the 5th!) If anyone's interested, check it out- it will be EPIC. Thx-Marian Danielle Folds (Facebook name is listed as Danielle Folds :)

Anne Bancroft looks hot 15 years before she was "Mrs. Robinson." In those days she was quite a party girl in Hollywood. Later, of course, she settled down and married Mel Brooks.

I like how 3 years of treatment at a hospital did nothing for her, but good old Jedediah made her realize he's dead in one sentence. Now that's pinache. He really screwed up the "I thought you were my dead husband" lay though. Oooh she is such a dime piece.

Nell's Uncle Eddie... Marilyn Monroe's impact proof list, and, listing high on it, my secular-friends, got competitive with my church-friends, on the common realization that I was being made unavailable during my birth-month, with an August church2church concert itinerary. A 1970s nude-pool-party was cooked up, and served to me...before these fans of hers were even born! "Dazzledent Way!"---M.M. 💋.

This & Misfits are amongst Marilyn Monroe's best performances. But, damnnnn, these trailers now look dated (which they are, obviously). Sort of has a "Batman & Robin" of the 1960s vibe

She is a dude come on. Transgender "marilyn monroe". Not his real name, just a fake alias like marilyn manson. They have a connection in the satanic temple s, they really like the name=) Marilyn was part of the satanic ring and even dated Lavey. And died early like other satanist Jayne Mansfield.

@@evianplay7540 Complete horseshit. She was pregnant several times throughout her life. Like any married woman she slept with her husbands so I'm sure there would have been plenty of dirt out if she was transgender.

A baby sitter who's psychologically disturbed over the death of a boyfriend gets hired for a hotel baby sitting job. She gets involved with a man she thinks it's her dead lover. The story then unfolds. You'll have to watch the movie to find out what that unfolding is.
