Owned a 2006 Vic Interceptor until 240,000, got totaled. They don't rust out at all outside of the rust belt, heater controls never fail, blend doors never failed for me, zero suspension issues other than a blown strut (pothole in Mich) & sway bar links & bushings. Also, the plugs rarely blow out on these cars, It's usually trucks & mudstains that have that problem because of their more cab-forward design limiting air flow to the rear cylinder so it runs hotter than the rest. Almost any blowout on these cars is from over-tightening. Great cars, basic as hell by todays standards and shitty mileage but it will run for 500k and is cheap to fix if you take care of them.

My fathers co worker was a taxi driver because my dad worked there for a little while and they used old crown vics, and the co worker was driving the taxi when a pickup truck rear ended his crown vic and he smashed into a toyota in front of him, the PICKUP TRUCK and the toyota had to be towed away and the crown vic was able to drive back to the job, my dad ended up buying a crown vic for himself, you’d never find a more reliable car.

So I will put a new motor in it don't care if it costs ?? 3-4-5000 cheaper than..new payments of 3-4-500 a month x12 months will cover 1yr payments.. These cars are the BOMB our secrets. A few of mine have more than 250k miles on them and they run perfect and don't burn any oil. If I wanted them to blow by 120k I'd take them to jiffy lube because they'll eventually forget to put new oil in which, according to their own statistics, happens every 3rd or 4th oil change...

What's with the paint on some of them? My 2003 Aspen Green Metallic Grand Marquis has the finest factory paint job of all my Panthers and withstood being parked outside in the Florida sun for the first 16 years of it's life with only minor clear coat damage on the roof but the rest of the paint is still super shiny. My light silver 2003 Crown Vic only has 70k miles but was obviously repainted and the paint on the hood still came off but the primer sure is on there good. It had those cheesy fender flares on it and when I removed them there was a ridge around them from where the paint and clear coat had stopped since they weren't taken off. Going to wrap it in vinyl Blue's Brothers style.
