I have been thinking about this as the new year begins. I am a front line worker, so I get that stress you talk about. I have a non-verbal, autistic daughter that requires full time supervision. When she was very little, one of her favorite things to do was take the throw pillows (which eventually led to the sofa cushions) off the sofa and throw them on the floor. I got to the place where I realized I was cleaning up after her all the time, and taught myself to pick up the pillows 3 times a day, and after that, let them lie where they fall. It was a self-preservation tactic... and I convinced myself that this was necessary. I am ashamed to admit it took several years of this before I realized we just needed to get rid of the throw pillows. No. I am not saying it's wrong to have throw pillows. I am saying, it's stupid for me to have them. In 2022, I want to simply my life, by at least one dresser full of clothes and various stuff. I will also declutter my kitchen cabinets and reorganize them so that they function much better. I also want to have peace with food... because when you fill your life with too much stuff, I find that I stuff myself in much the same way. My house doesn't need more than it can hold. Neither does my body. Period. Thanks for posting.

I'm working through second round declutter in 2022 and will include the garage and yard. I will also work on house repairs. I DO work too much but that will continue plus a summer job. I'm also improving my routine this year! I have some career and physical goals also. Social and Spiritual and Relationships are good right now. I'm ready for double blessings in '22! I love listening to you, Robyn!

Routines are a good thing! I find I get out of my normal routines when I have large projects that need done, put everything aside to concentrate on getting the project done. It does get overwhelming seeing things not done while focused elsewhere. One of my tasks is getting back in to the routines.

My workout routine is out the window at the moment because of all the kids being home doing school online… 😕 if they were in school (like at school), I usually swim in the morning either super early or after school drop off. If I have time, I do a weight training workout as well. Then I do my chores or run errands before school pick up. Right now though……. Hmm…. A bit lagging in the workout dept. which I am aware isn’t good for my mind…. 😕
