I think this is the first videos I’ve seen of yours. But right when you brought up the #1 seed stat, I knew it was from Pure Potential. I think he’s gonna get big if he continues making the same quality videos. Definitely have some great tips here esp veteran trades, being on the waiver wire, and 1st round rookie picks, and . I’ll check out your stuff too. Keep it up 👍🏼 One piece of advice that makes the rewatching experience a ton better is to have the splits in the video in for when we’re looking for something in particular.

I’ve been playing dynasty for three years and only have two teams but based off what I’ve seen this is some really good advice.

I disagree on the way I've seen people saying the 1st seed has "only" a 31% chance to win. Another way to read the stats is that the 1st seed has 4 TIMES the chance to win compared to the 6 seed. That data tells me it's incredibly important to go all in before week 1 to try and secure a bye if you're in a position to.

Yes, the best chance you have at winning a championship in Dynasty is by securing the No. 1 seed, but the point I was making in the video is that the best team in fantasy football doesn't always win. In fact, most of the time, they don't. I would suggest letting the season play out, and if you are in the position to land the No. 1 seed, it may be wise to go out and acquire a player to help you before your league's trade deadline. Generally speaking, it's best to let the season play out, see where you stand, and then make calculated moves to try and improve your team. Obviously, there are deals that are too good to pass up, but in general, I wouldn't recommend going "All In." Appreciate the comment and thank you!

Even if you go all in you’re playing a weekly game in the playoffs. And say you’ve got the 1 seed - when you play the winner of the previous playoff matchup in your semifinal after the bye you might be favored to win by a projected 10-15 points if your team is really stacked. That’s effectively only a 60/40 ish probability that you’re going to win at best. The point is to not mortgage your future to create the best opportunity to win now because the odds will always be against you. It’s just simple math. Even if you’re favored in every playoff matchup you play your odds of winning aren’t even a coin flip in aggregate. Sure, you can roll the dice, spend the picks and acquire great talent that gives you a championship. Sometimes it works. And if you’re a gambler at heart it can be way more fun to do that. But mathematically speaking you are putting yourself at a disadvantage by paying a premium to buy a the extra projected points per week to win now. And in a longer sample it doesn’t result in positive EV or more winning of chips’. And it seriously hurts you two three years out. You also cannot even remotely go all in with conviction or confidence heading into week 1. Even if you pay for all of “the best” players injury and team performance has 12-14 weeks left to play out through variance. You might be the best projected roster in week 1 and be in 9th at week 10. You’d be WAY better off “going all in” if it’s week 11 or 12 and you’re at the top of the table with a strong roster that you know you can compete with. But doing it in week 1 is just really bad process because you’re exposing yourself to an extremely high level of variance l.
