I will keep saying it, there is a lot to fix, and unfortunately at the point we are at, they are hardly going to fix it as it is not in their best interest. They have it all planned out. The game doesn't give breaks, they are intentionally making the game exhausting. 2 combos that opponent hits you are enough to leave you close to losing, so you can't miss a single input, forcing the player to play forever until they learn the matchup of the 100 moves of each character, and you can't play several hours against one precisely because they make the game exhausting. Everything is designed so that you enter the game only around 2 hours a day maximum due to exhaustion, you can not learn the matchup well, so you will have to connect the following days, so that when you learn the match up finally, you do not get to fight against that particular character in 1 month and you forget the matchup, so you have to keep connecting to the game every day in an endless cycle that leads you nowhere, all to create addiction and to make you spend in their store.

Almost everything that you've outlined is why old tekken heads don't enjoy tekken 8. Option selecting got nerfed, it's cluttered with machanics, too many characters were given get in tools that pacify neutral all together (I'm looking at you demon paws and easy mode wr moves), heat combined with rage gives the lesser player too many comeback opportunities when they have been outplayed already, damage is too high which again is at odds with complex neutral, chip damage is clutter it serves no purpose as no one including the viewer can reasonably keep abreast of it not to mention it essentially put an end to one of the most hype experiences a viewer can have which is clutch, nail biting slow mo's, the forced 50/50 situations without os that at times lead to further 50/50 or Oki. Everything outside the gameplay is great though. One thing I've noticed which is my prime takeaway from Tekken 8 is that most tekken players I used to know weren't really fighting game player's they were Tekken player's and that's just the thing with Tekken 8, it doesn't really *feel* like Tekken any more rather it feels like a fighting game or air fighter or something. Anyway nice video dude and if this means Tekken just loses it's old player's like me and you lot take over and truely enjoy it, so be it!

I also agree with your sentiments. Regarding chip damage though, it does serve a purpose. It's just another comeback mechanic they added on top of everything else you've pointed out. It may not be as effective as RA or Heat, but when a 1hit scenario becomes 2/3hit- sometimes that's all the difference that can make or break a round/set.

Honestly my issue before Heihachi came out was I thought the game was too frustrating and the game encouraged lots of aggression/poor decision making. I didn't quite enjoy it so I quit playing until this August. It also always felt like learning matchups was such a chore with how everyone never rematched and even ragequit. Now, I'm a long time Tekken player and I used to play it on the side. One of my issues was that I never had a character I TRULY enjoyed in Tekken 8. I jumped from Feng on launch, then quit playing and picked up Dragunov. When I was getting back into the game, I felt like nothing changed about the game and I was having such a hard time trying to learn the game even with the frustration. Then Heihachi came out, and now I'm having so much fun again having my long time main back. I already hit Bushin within three days of grinding ranked and I'm really happy! I'm getting much better at Tekken like I was in my prime with this game series and I'm having a much easier time learning matchups since I WANT to. I have a character I like now, and that's a big thing for me. I NEED to be attatched to a character in order to learn it. So I've spent days relearning basic matchup knowledge, brushing up on my fundamentals and every day I go into the lab with my friend to learn matchups in depth. Don't give up people! This games hard but take it from me: Find that character you really like, brush off the tilt and have an open mind. You'll end up like me. I've played fighting games for 15+ years and never got more angrier at a fighting game unlike this one, but trust me things get better. Great video!

Let's be honest, how come Tekken 8 didn't scare you away because it's not Tekken. These are microtransactions that are going to be done by Arena as DLC not included in the most expensive edition. heihachi As DLC. I cut out outfits to sell them separately. battle pass ,tekken shop. No effort even made to fix the balance, same problems since release. Total chaos caused by plus frames ,rage art and heat smash , Characters that break the rules of the game They made even watching a tournament annoying to watch. Tekken 8 tournaments are a sad joke. Only a broken offensive counts !Making me want to play Tekken when I play Tekken 😂 And reaching the blue ranks won't change anything. The game doesn't give me the satisfaction of winning. When you lose, you feel that you've lost to the character. You don't feel that you've lost to the player.Just like you win you won against his spamming attacks not against the player. I play defensively and I almost never get a rematch when I win and I almost never use rage art and heat smash. Literally people play the same combination over and over again and if you manage to react to it they don't want to play with you anymore 😁 But I don't blame the players, they've already seen the game enough to know that it's designed in such a way that players don't have to learn. I'm sure that learning defense will make reaching the blue ranks easier. I don't require much, I want the defense to work and players to start playing it like in Tekken. After all, on ranks, there should be an everyday option to play without rage art and heat smash. It would give a lot like unlimited rematches in regular online fights and in the rankings up to five.

@@RussDaBusta That's what I did, but I always thought that these new mechanics and the extra frames would make me not play it, besides, I have 600 hours.But I can't stand such disgusting monetization. They literally crossed the line for me. I immediately get angry at the developers and players who say that it's okay. This level of microtransactions can be in the game for free on the phone, not in the game for the full price. I will never accept this. The number of arenas is a joke, after all, there were so many in Tekken 3 or Tekken 4. And I understand that the game won't be perfect at a time like this but damn we still have the same bugs. The game has lost all its defense. It's like assetto corsa had the driving system from NFS. They should increase the dynamics of the fights but this is a complete failure.I liked watching some Tekken tournaments but what's there now is a joke. They need to get the game back to a state where the defense is working. Honestly, I have a few ideas because I think that the system heat is not bad. A few changes I would personally make are: • chip damage Only in heat • Faster fall off when attacking the heat bar • Removing rage art. Because too much of anything is unhealthy 🤣 • Fix those moments where instead of defeating your opponent your punch moves them and you usually see the game rob you of victory in slow motion 😭 •Tracking of hits some especially those that shouldn't have divine tracking. And those who should have them don't have them at all. • Too many Plus frames. The game should be more risky in this regard, not the two attacks that someone usually squeezes into each round. With some approach maybe it will work out. • More rematches available.In both modes up to 5 in the rankings and in the second like in Tekken 7. They literally limited it to make it harder for you to learn DLC characters by trying to force you to buy the seeson pass. • freedom of choice we should have the opportunity to fight without rage art and heat smash. It wouldn't even have to be ranked. To polish your skills and the feeling of playing Tekken. Overall Tekken 8 is not a bad fighting game. But I see it like this. Have you played black myth wukong? If not, I recommend it, it's a great game and I really enjoyed it. But if this game was released as Dark Souls 4 I would be pissed. Some games are iconic precisely because of their specific style, and taking that away causes the game to lose its identity.
@RussDaBusta
5 күн бұрын
@@damiankubiak818 I havent played black myth yet because Im addicted to remnant 2 rn. But the difference between an rpg game and a fighting game, is balance patching and adding characters. Its easier for an rpg because they can make dlc that extends the base game and charge (in many case) 20-30$ for it. In a fighting game in todays world with much higher deleveper/development costs for games, if they didnt add in game shops and charge for things and made it free, yes we would have free stuff, but they would in turn, rarely make in game cosmetics/stages and they would have to charge for the story dlc’s since they still have to pay however many employees until tekken 9. In my eyes its more of a pick your poison kind of thing. I personally prefer them charging for cosmetics only because I don’t like most of the cosmetics to begin with, so I would rarely buy cosmetics (only the ones that I particularly like). I personally think the best middle ground would be to make creative in game cosmetics (free & paid) and charge less for them, say 50% of the price they are now. That would actually incline people to buy more I think. Also, I can almost guarantee that tekken 8 now and tekken 8 in the upcoming years will be a big improvement. But either way, im definitely going to get black myth wukong. Game looks dope
@anso3886
3 күн бұрын
@@damiankubiak818I agree with the rest of them. But I feel like they should remove chip damage and hopefully they add some sort of a true heat reversal. But for tekken 9 they should just revamp the rage system to be more like the super gauge in sf4 (or 5) where it would be a gauge that would be built overtime from takin and or dealing damage. You can use 1 bar for a rage drive or rage dash(basically a heat dash) 2 bars for a rage burst (basically the same as a heat burst) and 3 bars for a rage art. This will allow for aggressive play but not your not allowed to be brain dead with it
@damiankubiak818
3 күн бұрын
@@anso3886 This is a very good idea, I think it would fix Tekken. Unfortunately, it's far from Tekken 9 and I'm afraid that in this part it will be a game like Naruto games. All the depth of the mechanics will be replaced even more with super attacks and plus frames. Only spectacle will count. Judging by their actions, it probably won't even be Tekken 9. If they don't come to their senses and don't turn this game into a real Tekken. Because the new Dragon Ball is coming out and casual players They will leave this game and start playing this one and the players who love the series like me have rejected it. They are creating something like Tekken because this fighting game is not as unique as Tekken. People will look for bigger explosions and they will find them. The game will die because they removed the game's identity. Now it's just another fight Game.

You quit Tekken 7 after only 25 hours of play? You thought you were just going to jump in and start beating everyone all of a sudden, when Tekken players have been playing the game for years? Even after 1200 hours, you are barely good enough at the game. The mind games and the chess aspect of the game only starts after you finish studying frame data and you play against someone who knows your character's frame data. This chess aspect of the game is the most fun part about Tekken, and why Tekken players continue to play the game after so many years. You could say that is mordern day chess for a lot of us Tekken players, as we would be playing chess if we born just 40 to 50 years ago. However with the 2D mechanics that they implemented in Tekken 8, Heat System and Chip damage, I'm not so sure now since I am not a fan of those 2D mechanics. Although I do understand that relatively new players like yourself like those 2D mechanics as you mentioned in the video and you come from a 2D aggressive game, on top of that you are playing Dragunov. Happy to see new players are enjoying the game, keep making those Tekken videos.

Tekken 8 is just a big mashfest right now, some people like it. I also kinda hate the way the game looks, don't really like the anime style the game has, that's why I picked yoshi, as he is the most different of all the characters. Also the hit boxes need to be fixed, getting hit by a mid armor kick with longer range than Yoshis back 2 2 meanwhile the kick doesn't even touch your character kinda sucks. Also I would be happy if there was some kind of way to just hop to practise and then get right into ranked, or stop the queue and just practise (like in Rocket League). If there is some kind of way tell me pls.
