Someone who invested 4 lakhs in Britannia in 2013 - 14 is now worth close to 40 lakhs. This is 8 to 10 X in 7-8 years. Do you think investment is a myth? You just need to get out with a stop loss that you can afford and diversify a bit and allocate in different sectors with the capital you have. If OTM call writing was combined with cash invesment, it would have been at least another 10X profit in 7 to 8 years. Simple ma. Their ability to hold on to their investment is the psychological problem., particularly one going in profit People don't mind holding on to losing positions. They believe it will come back one day. If it goes on the profit, they will be keen to book the profit. They will be willing to work hard all the day and be happy with decent salary, but when they come to stock market, they want to money to grow immediately. If you have large capital much more money can be made with trading. Both investment and trading can be profitable. It depends on the individuals mindset and trade management.

@@Prakash-jb8ev Is that even a question? lol You keep tracking a company's progress. If those aspects change, you alter your investment pattern accordingly. If things are looking promising, you increase your stake. If things are looking down in the long term, you either reduce stake or exit from that company. You dont invest everything in bulk. You invest gradually, over a period of time based on how you see things develop. It is called common sense. We apply it everywhere in our life and the share market is no different.

Investing in stocks is an excellent way to grow wealth. For long-term investors, stocks are a good investment even during periods of market volatility. A stock market downturn like the one we've seen this year simply means that many stocks are on sale. So the best way to invest is using the long term formula and diversification, Cryptocurrency or the Forex market with the guidance of an expert. The main aim of diversification is to minimize the risk, reducing the market volatility and It aims to maximize returns and keeping emotions out of it.

Long term investment is not a myth.Identifying a company below its intrnsic value and checking the net current asset value with Peterlynch earnings cant go wrong unless the company has made some fraud in auditing.Rather than going simply by profit loss as given by TV channels and websites if one goes through the statement for each quarter it can give a hint to exit when there is a problem in their audit results. So after investment if one goes into the company statements each quater can identify whether it is profitable or not.So it is better to read a statement from the bottom rather than top as most companies try to cheat the statement at the end.

Those -ve commenters didn't understand the primary point. That is you cant keep money like FD and sleep and expect your money to grow. You have to keep checking how well the company is performing. and exit when company goes down. He clearly said that only people who know when to enter and exit the stock can make money. Entering the stock when price is quiet low and your research says company will do great in future. And exiting when competition company overtakes the existing company. Thats all he meant. if the company makes 50% in 1st year it will not remain same on 10th year. If you leave your money their only without exiting, you will have same money as the 1st year

Currently, bank FD gives only 6% annual return. With this rate, if compounded annually Rs. 1000 would have become only Rs. 4290 after 25 years. Whereas nifty moved from 1k to 11k in the same time. This translates to about 10% compounded annual return. Hence, we can clearly see that nifty is the clear winner. And moreover, this is after the index dropped from 12.43k to 11k.

Example: There are around 1000 companies which are listed on the stock market since more than 10 years with a market cap of greater than 100 crore. Around 730 of them have given positive returns, and around 430 have given returns of more than 8 percent over a 10 year period. With due respect sir, I feel your statements lack logic and facts. Who does long term investment by investing in index? You chose good companies from the index when you want to invest for long term. I agree that there will always be companies like Rcom or Yes Bank...but on the other side there are many many multibaggers. You have chosen not to look at them. Also one of the reasons you make good profit in trading is that you trade on a large capital. Many small traders dont have that liberty.

I don't completely agree with the said data - Except for the last two points !! I see this video is merely a warning to rookie traders/investors - Which is ok and has to be considered as just a warning (Rule No. 1: Never lose money. Rule No. 2: Never forget rule No. 1 - Warren Buffett) 😊. Pls do learn the market micro& macro ( ample of free sources out there - But need strong will power to educate ourself), practice with patience ( Mostly we can't 😊), do the risk management (Reasonable diversification & evaluating individual risk appetite ), spend screen time for research ( Entry/exit/averaging) - consult with good analyst/friends.Being followed by many people, Pl’s make full-length detailed videos with balanced arguments to avoid misconceptions. Thanks!

It takes guts to call a spade a spade.......there are so many cliches ( if you don't like the word myth ) going around n it takes a man of knowledge n courage to call the bluff ! PR Sundar does this n I'm a fan because of this. Is he wrong if he says one should know which stocks to enter, when to enter, when to exit ? If you don't know then you are better off doing SIP in a proven multcap fund for long term with your spare money...n of course, don't forget to monitor the performance at interval- simply because what appears a sure success today may be a huge failure tomorrow....there are so many examples...one ( ADAG Gp) is narrated by PR Sundar. Before 2008 crash when I knew the market was hot I gave my entire portfolio to Kotak PMS (they used to advertise themselves as the winner of best portfolio manager award winner for several years) with the fond hope that being the expert professionals they should be able to better manage my money.....n what happened.....? They returned the money with a significantly greater loss than the infamous 2008 crash could account for ! What I mean to say is- constant vigil is the price of success ! It applies everywhere. The so-called experts on TV, always take their advice with a pinch of salt. Apollo Microsystems is recent example. NBCC advised for several months by Sanjeev Bhasin is another....it rises a few points momentarily ( with gullible investors buying) n then falls significantly. I fully agree with PR Sundar on Technical Analysis...... good for only telling what is happening or, more correctly, what has happened in the past ! That's why, the TV experts relying on Technical Analysis advise a stock when it has already run up significantly, leaving very little scope if any for further appreciation.

How long is long term is the question..thats why ppl ask to do fundamental before investing. But the fundamental changes as well for various internal and external reasons. So buying with good fundamental and sleeping for a decade may decay your investment value..conclusion is, if you don't have the right knowledge about the market, refrain yourself from entering.

If Sundar isn't supporting Long term, then why picked the BN 22000 PE at Rs.1510 and now it's Rs.570 ? He didn't pick an Intraday Sell option, rather he took a monthly Sell option and watching regularly. We need to understand that we should continuously Monitor, Nourish and Protect also do fire fighting if required whether it is a Intraday, Short term or Long term Trades or Investments. Thank you Sundar sir for the message!

Nifty 50 CAGR has been 12% since inception. Nifty 50 TRI CAGR has been a slightly higher about 13.5% since inception. Central bank interest rates are at all time lows. No safe debt instrument is giving you anywhere close to equity returns. For those who can't be picking stocks, sticking with a index mutual fund still looks like a sound plan. (Note: Nifty next 50 returns since inception has been even greater)

The most flawed argument i have ever seen on stock market.Sir you have quoted facts on a very myopic basis. Out of all the people you should know Indian equity market is undervalued and underpriced with less public participation and even lesser average capital. 1 quality stock choosen has the potential to mask the failures of 10 penny stocks or to make things simpler if a normal investor had split his investment into 1/2 between the two Ambani brother’s companies he/she would have still be in a comfortable position if not a better position. Bank FD rates,Savings Bank interest rates or falling with each passing year and in this scenario where can a retail investor put his hard earned money??? Sir try educating people to be rational in their investments rather than terrifying gullable ones with half cooked facts.
