I was on a team did some small deals here and there. Ended up making around 40k. Decided I learned enough and went solo for a year. Made about 20k. Yes I kept more of my commissions. But I did WAY less business, and my trajectory is not looking great. So I’m likely heading back to a team again to upgrade my skills a bit more before doing the solo thing again.

Yessss finally people that think like me. I joined a team over three years ago and have completely accelerated my growth and knowledge . Now I’m at a point where it’s time for me to master the lead generation and do this on my own.

I'm just curious, how did you go about finding your team? I don't think I'm ready to do it by myself, but I don't know how to go about seeking one.

I’m 13 min in this video and I’m sobbing and laughing concurrently because this is exactly what’s it’s felt like. I’m new agent have been doing for the last 3-4 months. I just closed my first 2 deals- have a 3rd under contract. I don’t have anymore active clients - only 5 maybes. And I’ve had no time to chase leads. English is not my first language. And this is my first daytime job (was a bartender for years). SO a lot to learn. I’m good with people and I have no problem making new contacts- however every time I walk into that office I feel I suffer from imposter syndrome. 😂 And if you ask for help you always get an answer- but it’s never the whole answer. I’ve felt so incredibly dumb calling people back to back asking the dumbest questions (ie im sorry how do I make a strike through line on Docusign) the amount of meltdowns I’ve had in order to put one offer together is incredible.😂 It’s impossible to start and literally learn systems, lingo, market yourself, call 24/7, drive around Michigan like a psychopath do the paperwork and earn money to support yourself and throw back in your business! 24 hours ain’t enough! I’m told I’m doing well- but I’m debating joining a team to LEARN. There has to be a better way to put all your systems in order. I have had a coach from my brokerage. She’s been holding my hand for months and I’m grateful. I was told I won’t be having her after closed deal number 3. Like… I’m still SO CLUELESS. 😮😂

I have not yet tested, likely in another two weeks. I have spoke with a agency already. I've made my mind up that this will be the agency that I will join. If I were to speak with one of their top teams, if you were the team leader, would you hire me? I already have 20 CE credits, been showing up to their twice monthly training, Of the 20 CE, 15 is for the GRI credits. How many brand new agents have that already on their first day? Is that something that would show a team leader that this is not just another new agent?

Honestly, all that is fairly irrelevant. It does show initiate and drive, and willingness to learn, but I have seen plenty of people so focused on learning and never doing. I want to see a willingness to pick up the phone, hustle nd open to being comfortable with the uncomfortable

@@barryallen5066 Started on D-Day, June 6th. Still on boarding into the agency. Just got onto the MLS. I've already started calling the agents for the listings to understand how to set up showings. Learn by doing. I've already have a chance for a listing appointment once I understand how to do that.
