You are one of the few BJJ KZitemrs that manage to do basic but detailed videos, that really help beginners. Watching other channels is like "do a 360 backflip sweep and finish with a flying omoplata."

Thanks, Chewy. So helpful. I had a guy in mount and held it for about 90 seconds but did’nt know what to attack. He ended up finally braiding me. Frustrated I was.

Great video, Chewy! Don’t know if anyone mentioned this, but once you walk that elbow up, you could alternatively push the arm across the neck and go for an arm triangle. I’ve used this technique a lot in class and had success with it.

I love seeing a Black Belt do Americanas. I can't understand this new trend to abandon the submission completely as "ineffective." I hit them often in rolls.

@10colt01

Triple Husky I imagine you’ve already got the answer for this but cold wash and hang dry is the standard mantra for washing your gi. I don’t do any sort of vinegar soak for the colored gi but then again I just buy the sanabul gi’s that are low cost

Good stuff Chew but I have one little thing one little detail I never do that keylock like how they do it with Gracie anymore. It does not work like that and I have a video on that explain why. It's all in the leverage parts of the body and actually lining up bones.

I did a video on it somewhere. If they cross their arms and grab the collar. Slide the knee up for S mount and attack the arm that is on top of the crossed arms.
