Great walk thru, Sir! I'm going to have to re-watch your node manipulation hookups again! On the note of scaling bones, I too was never told you should scale bones. And in film, I highly recommend it! There is a caveat if you animate the scale on bones for video games. If you let your TD know ahead of time it's usually OK and they can mess with your animation export. Typically game engines, do not like the animated scaling of bones/controllers/joints unless they're built for it. I’d love to hear a TD’s opinion scaling too.

5:30 go back.... And you tell me what is happening there... It looks like you managed to use nodes to assign the translation to an empty Some how that looks way easier than parenting... Having a object represented by a node so you can actually see what's happening and simply click and drag the translation to another object node YOU GO BACK AND TEACH ME RIGHT NOW
@ChesterSampson
4 жыл бұрын
Quick explanation - he has unlocked the translation channels on the clav controls then linked those translations to locators in the node editor. You can achieve the same thing by using a ‘point constraint’ which just affects translation channels (not rotate and scale). Hope that helps

Hey there, keep up the great work. I found out about you about two weeks ago and I am starting to watch more and more videos. I am learning to animate after I programmed for over 10 years now. So it's quite a change. Right now I am learning the fundamentals (bouncing ball, rolling ball, squash and stretch, ...). It will take some time for me to put my hands on a character but thanks to you there are some I'd like to check out. But since Maya is quite heavy on the money I am using blender right now. Am I right to believe that most of the models/rigs you use/present are incompatible with blender? The Link and the dragon (which name I forgot right now) for example? I don't want to pay some money and realize I can't use the rigs. Maybe, just maybe, Maya Indie will be released at some point in Europe... Greetings!

Hello Sir, I really like your way of style to explain the animation. I really like this breathing anim to keep alive the character but I've a question can you please explain how did you make the different styles of linking which can control the IK of chest and shoulders Translation in the next video. If it's possible for you. If I missed your previous video in which you already explained this linking can you please DM me. So I can check it and start work on it. . I also send you the mailed you for the previous vlog. Kindly also share your precious thoughts on it. I hope you'll reply to me sooner and thanks for this video I'll definitely share with you, this breathing style of anim. Regards Simran Jeet Singh
