Funny thing about Martial Arts is that their origins were used mainly for military purposes. Nowadays it’s become a commercialised circus and fighting has gone from selfless duty to selfish desires. If you love fighting join the military and train martial arts on the side to keep your body and mind strong.

Mcgregor has the freakiest reach out of his division. Do you really think they worked that much harder than the next guy? No they were better from the start. Hard work will not grant you success. Its majority genes + a little luck and work. Also talking about how poor they had it. That has no impact at all and they werent even bad off at all. You wouldnt know real poverty. I’ll be honest with you. Everything your saying makes sense, but as you work and train, and work and train and get a bit older, your gonna build a stronger and stronger will and endurance where you WILL be able to work and also train hard. We always think about aerobic and Anaerobic, but people often ignore the concept of GPP (general physical preparedness) that used to describe how physically in shape you are overall. You seem to me to be about 21-23. It’s true what your saying that you should allocate the most time you can to training if you are serious, but take it from me I’ve seen guys get to high levels of MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing while working 9-5s or even more. I’m not trying to sound like every other motivation GURU saying the whole sleep 8, work 8 do side hustle 8 crap…but I’ll be honest it sounds to me like you are just short selling yourself a little bit. It’s just because you haven’t built up that specific endurance to wake up , work all day and train all evening. If you did it for a year, no matter how hard it would be, you WOULD get use to it.

People forget there are many levels below UFC and for the vast majority of people at those levels - they make jack shit money. but they're still putting their brains on the line for permanent crippling damage. It's not worth it. Credit to those who do make it to the top and make a good income from it for a few years but that's like winning the lottery. Chances are that if you're competing in the amateur levels, you won't make it but you will get hit in the head a lot.

Do you know anything at all about MMA? I would do some more research before cutting hours at work and trying to make it pro. It takes a LONG time to make serious money and you have to be REALLY good to make it. - I've trained with UFC fighters/bellator and trust me, most of those guys are NOT making a ton of money unless you have a big name.
