Thanks for the video. I was debating if I should buy one for my Tundra, but I guess I'll just keep mine stock. It sounds nice, but I would hate for my truck to keep dying like that.

I think a Turbo Smart bov works. Mad expensive though

It sounds awesome but I dont like the anxiety of having the vehicle shut off at a moments notice.

I’ve had the same one for 6 months now on my Platinum. Keeping two open on each side won’t give you an issue.

That’s exactly how I ran it and it’s stalling. Did you try hard braking?

The only time it did it again was when I hard braked but in Sport mode when gunning it. I haven’t done that since. I do have the TRD filters in as well.

Any vehicle with a MAF cannot have in metered boost leaks(blow off) . Good explanation.

The issue that this is a spacer, not a BOV. A proper BOV would not do this as the vents are after the valve. This spacer is a constant boost leak and you(not you, people in general) have to be a complete moron to think that this is a good idea 😂 people are so cheap, wanting to put $30 parts and double work when they have to buy a proper $300 BOV to fix their mistakes I run true BOVs on both of my Minis, my '22 Golf R and our '22 Tundra. Zero issues. Ironically they all run TurboSmart

There are some incorrect things that are said in this video too, like not explaining that this pile of anodized alumnium GARBAGE forces a constant boost leak. That makes your turbo work harder, wear faster, get hotter and destroys all of the efficiency of the turbo. For someone to PURPOSELY put this on their car is idiotic at best. A 'standard' BOV is an EXTERNALLY venting device that vents the charge pressure between the turbo and throttle body (when the throttle plate closes) to atmosphere, which is a bolt on for a MAP vehicle. A Recirculating valve sends charge pressure back into the intake for MAF vehicles that meter the overall flow of air and NEED to see that airflow meter correctly and cough when the sensor sees a sudden and abrupt drop in airflow. Again, this thing is NEITHER and is purely garbage.

@@JuanRuiz-uy5sethere is none I've already looked around and there is not a single bov that you can use. The turbo system on these new trucks are so good they recirculate the air so you don't need a bov.

We call that "surging"....thats not good for a turbocharger' blade wheel or bearing! You would have to have a MAP sensor or MAFless sensor to account for the lost air blown to atmosphere!

That is not a BOV, that is a boost leak! A real BOV has the vents AFTER the valve meaning it will close and open the vents. These stupid spacers go before the valve. Only idiots put these on their cars. Get a real BOV for about $300
@shirothehero0609

Yeah.... the second I saw that, it floored me that people want to PURPOSELY leak boost. All that does is make your turbos work harder and wear faster and throws all efficiency in the garbage. When I was 20, 20 years ago, an HKS BOV was expensive, but that's also when I was sourcing every bit of a turbo kit from other cars before someone made a bolt on for everything for my used 95 Integra with 120k on the clock. I used a DSM talon recirc valve as my BOV and it worked, but the day I finally sprung that few hundred bucks for a real SSQV, it was night and day in terms of response, boost rise/hold and it actually sounded AMAZING. Now, having the money to buy a new $60K truck, I cant say I would purposely put trash on my truck to make it worse. This is just garbage. I honestly cant believe that someone can sell this shit and sleep at night knowing its entire purpose is creating a boost leak.

@andrewsolis2988

@abdulrahmanm.rashed1807 A BOV is an actual replacement unit that plugs into the factory harness, if it wants you to keep your factory BOV it is a boost leak 😁
