Well put together documentary. Will be doing a 100k in July and I haven't started training for it yet. Been away from running for the past 2 years and I know it will be a struggle for me this July. But having watched your video, I'm confident that if I put in the time, I will be able to finish it, hopefully within cutoff (28 hours). I like that phrase: "I don't stop when I'm tired. I stop when I'm done". And you proved that it can be done!

What did your training block look like? How many miles per week? Any road marathons or what?
@stache940
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking. I did nothing more than an hour 3 times a week. Then I did a long run on the weekend of at least 13 miles. I tried to do another run of an hour on Sundays. That worked until I went to Leadville for a training camp in June. I realized that I needed climbing so I added 2 sessions of two hours on an old type of stair stepper. 2 hours is a lot and you will sweat horrible but it helped so much. In the month of July, I ran a marathon distance every Sunday. Several were 13 in the morning and 13 at night. Hopefully that helped. It is also important to find out what happens to you when you hit a wall. That was found when I did the FKT run found on this channel.
