I dont know if it will come later but in addition to minä-mä sinä-sä and so on, in casual speech the olla verb also changes a lot, like this olen-oon, olet-oot, olemme-ollaan(passive form) olette-ootte, ole-oo (for example se ei ole minun becomes se ei oo mun) 🇫🇮 it is a bit of a nightmare with how much colloquial finnish really differs from formal finnish but the grammar rules do stay the same, we just make everything shorter (and I do mean everything)

An update on the -mies-titled professions! There has been lots of talk for quite a while about replacing them especially on a more formal level. Using the old forms is acceptable as well, but organisations and some media will try and use more titles like lakimies -> juristi, palomies -> pelastaja, puhemies -> puheenjohtaja etc. Menestystä opiskeluun! 😊

Grammar is a pain in the ass, but pronounciation is quite easy when it clicks. And you are already very good in saying the words! Usually 'ä' and 'ö' are difficult for foreigners as well as double vowels and consonants. But you don't seem to have any problem with them!

The nationality words are funny in finnish since the ending suoma(lainen) lainen mean like as in you are like something. In this context you are Finland like or like a person from Finland.

Many of the finnish get shortened in spoken finnish (puhekieli) like mä which is shortened from minä olen, which can be hard to learn/remeber.

great video (as always)! I got like second hand stress for you because of our grammar, but maybe you'll do ok since you're good at languages! :D you sometimes slipped when pronouncing Ä, you pronounced it as A, but it happens a lot to non-native speakers. :)

@@WelshASMR82Nordics to me the easiest way to demonstrate the difference to non-Finns is by comparing the way A is pronounced in the english words "car" and "apple" - "car" kinda has the finnish A sound and "apple" has the Ä sound. dunno if repeating those words helps when trying to remember how to pronounce it but there u go :-D !
