I used to work for serv pro as an operations manager, do not hire serv pro in any capacity.

Most definitely can grow within that time frame! As i had a severe flood, vacuumed it with my shopvac and did my best. 24 hours later relatively dry, the mold was pungent like pine trees. Immediately tore that shit up, and although the carpet was dry the padding underneath was still soaked. I ultimately decided to go with flooring lmao.

ServPro average cost to vacuum water- $2700. They won't give you an estimate. You get stuck with their bill. Upper end cost $8-10,000.

i know its a lot of money but that cost also should include moving stuff, running equipment to dry out personal possessions/structure, check on the equipment, disinfecting affected area and checking drying process. I know cause i worked for a servpro we did give estimates also and an estimate is only an estimate it can go up or down from there. Also every servpro is franchised so depending on you area and who runs that shop depends on the service you get.

Do you really think it would be that easy to get rid of the water about the carpeting I don't think so it's never that easy to get rid of water underneath the carpet especially in your basement

I noticed that the govt website no longer say if a home is in a potential flood zone 👎
