I must say I've felt no urgency to watch this film...until now. I hadn't realized it was scored by John. Holy shit. What an incredible track and score, which I'm now listening to. Now I feel I absolutely must watch a film with a score this intriguing.

The film is good. Some would argue it falls short of stellar, but still definitely worth a watch, even without John's phenomenal score and some top-notch sound design. I thought it was really impressive work by Wilde on her second directed feature film.

I thought that nothing could be invented in orchestration after Williams, Morricone, and Zimmer. Powell is a composer who surprises even in this century when it seems that nothing can surprise anymore.

This is seriously one of the coolest film cues I've seen in a while😦, amazing! I absolutely loved the vocals and the string section gliding between notes👏

Brilliant!! Riveting piece of music, from a true master of action and tension. I've been a John Powell fan for almost 20 years, and every new Powell score is still an event for me.

Just watched the movie, didn’t know it was Powell, but absolutely loved the voices idea that is on 3:26 here. Now, listening to it separately, I can hear it’s Powell 😀 Voices remind me of the ones from his Star Wars

Absolutely love the blend of up-close, dry vocals and atmospheric synths and orchestra. The rhythmic ambiguity is especially interesting; would the decision to notate 7M52 in 3/4 with quadruplet rhythms be because of ease-of-reading for the musicians? Certainly feels like a 6/8 if you close your eyes...

Hey John! Awesome work. Bit of a technical question. What do the letters at the end of the version numbers denote? v2a, v2g, for example. I assume they are variants on the main version 2? If so, when does it qualify as a new version? "v3" Just curious a bit about the labeling process.
@Mark_TDD

v2 means version two. The letters refer to revisions made to that version.

Perhaps, but John's use of manipulated female vocals isn't a gimmick. Not sure if you've seen the film, but there are narrative reasons for all of it.
