In this video we tell you about Donald Campbell and his boat Bluebird.
Donald Campbell was a British speed record breaker in the mid-20th century, famous for his efforts in land and water speed records. He notably broke the world land speed record in 1964 and the world water speed record multiple times, ultimately meeting a tragic end during a water speed record attempt in 1967.
Bluebird K7 was the hydroplane speedboat used by Donald Campbell in his pursuit of water speed records. Campbell set seven world water speed records in K7 between 1955 and 1964.
Bluebird is now housed in the Ruskin Museum in Coniston in the Lake District.
